This hotel is a few steps from the base of the gondola at the Lion Square. The office for lift tickets and passes is right there too. At the end the day I skied all the way down to the hotel. The hotel has a ski valet service for leaving your skis overnight. A ski rental place is on premises. There is a parking area for hotel guests. Everybody was friendly and helpful. No place can be possibly located more conveniently for skiing in Vail.

You can't beat the location for ski in and ski out. The outdoor hot tubs are most amazing except for being crowded before 8:00 pm. But that is understandable that lots of people will want to go after a day of skiing. Management was quick to respond to my concerns with our room.

THe service was excellent. It was Christmas so the Hotel was packed and they were able to get us checked in fast and on the hill to Ski

Location cannot be beat and the entire staff was great. The rooms are a little old school but in perfect condition.
