Excellent staff, excellent facilities, excellent amenities, and a great location

Construction noise in the morning

The grounds and our room was beautiful. Pristine and clean. There was a card we were given to let us know what amenities they offer. One of the items said you will receive an amenity welcome package. We didn't get one so I called the front desk. The gentleman on the phone said OH WE STOPPED GIVING OUT COOKIES. Then another amenity listed was a complimentary glass of wine. Again front desk said OH WE STOPPED DOING THAT ON MONDAY. OK parking was $20 per night. This place was nice but too expensive. No one told us about the parking fees.

Couldn't be a better location. Within walking distance of everything. The rooms were beautiful. We had a room overlooking the garden. Drinks and bartenders were great

Our stay was very nice start with check in. The rooms are clean and very well decorated and update for the area. We had a delicious dinner at the steak restaurant as well as a fresh drink in the bar. We will be sure to make another visit.

The only reason I rated it a 3 is due to the location. It is old and eating anywhere is challenging!! Also there are no elevator so if on the 2nd floor have to carry your luggage. I was a solo traveler and attempted to eat at the “coffee shop” Which is located off the steakhouse thinking quicker! WRONG I was ignored by the wait staff as they were understaffed and I was waiting so long the couple next to me noticed and attempted to let them know on my behalf after I was ignored after the 3rd refill of their coffee. When I did get served there were only 2 pepper shakers for the entire place and no salt shakers. The wait staff told us they attempted to find more but were told they were removed as the chef started he “seasoned to perfection” so removed the salt..Really? So next breakfast I did go to the steakhouse house there was salt shakers and everything. In an attempt to give them another chance on my last night I planned on eating at the steakhouse and asked if I needed a reservation since it was St Patricks day. I went to have dinner in the steakhouse and (you guesses it) NOPE no reservations. So I was directed to the upstairs bar Cattleman and the service was amazing they were short staff and so busy but as a single person I was seated and they checked on me constantly so Paso Robles you need to award that staff! So maybe plan on eating around town and ask for a downstairs room if you have any disabilities. To the chef, your seasoning to perfection and mine may be different and I would appreciate options and choices.

Great stay, rooms were nicely updated and location can’t be beat!

Beautiful setting - loved the music playing daily and nightly and the fire pits .

The shower pressure was very low .

Stayed in the 1889 House King which is a really nice room with upgraded amenities. The staff is always friendly and the location is great, steps from downtown paso.
