620 - 1BDR Apartment close to V&A Waterfront

Very safe around and in the building. There is a pub right next door so if you want to have a drink at night time it is convenient. The Cape royale is beautiful. Door men and reception are very friendly.

The airconditioning did not work all the time. The apartment itself is - because it is part of the Cape Royale - sheltered within the building and does not get very hot, so we didn't miss the airco much.

Location is excellent - right next to restaurants, coffee shops and a woolies store for groceries. Buzzing area. Great walk to the promenade. The Cape Royale itself is also modern and elegant. The staff are very professional.

The fact that you have to pay extra for room cleaning and linen change, which comes standard with most hotels at this price. If you’re on holiday the last thing you want to deal with is dirty dishes, cleaning up and changing your own linen. For this reason, I don’t think the price is good value for money because you’d have to pay an extra R600 per day to get a daily room clean and linen change service.

- Lovely smelling lobby with posh upmarket decor - Small thing but doormen opened and closed main hotel doors every time we entered and left - 6 hour earlier check in for 1000R (well needed as we were exhausted from travelling) - Spacious and clean apartment - Great location - 10 min walk to V&A waterfront along one straight road, 30 min walk to Bo Kaap area - Woolworths supermarket a few doors down so really handy to get milk, water, snacks etc and keep in fridge - Netflix and YouTube available on living room TV

- No plug sockets in bedroom so phones, hair straighteners etc need to be charged in living room. Inconvenient as you’d ideally want phones charged overnight next to bed - Tv in bedroom didn’t work - Bedroom is located next to door so can hear guests walk and talk in corridor along with doors slamming - No temperature control or air con in bedroom so became hot and uncomfortable to sleep in at times - Pool area needs more TLC, the deck chairs are made of solid wood and they had no cushions or covers on So are not comfortable to sit and relax on

Amazing location, walking distance from supermarket, restaurants and V&A waterfront. Apartment was very nicely decorated.

The shower could be better as the water pressure was weak and the taps meant it was either too hot or too cold.

The location and the property had everything we needed for our stay in Cape Town
