Americas Best Value Inn

My main issue was the TV. I reported that there was no signal, so the receptionist came and reconnected the cable. I still found that most of the channels had no signal. The next week, I stayed there again in a different room. There I had many times as many channels working, so something went uncorrected in the first room.

Absolutely filthy. Something that looked like melted chocolate ice cream all over the inside of the refrigerator. Smelled like mold & I couldn’t breathe. Black hairs all over the toilet (looked like public hairs) soap dishes in bathroom rusted & rotted, a piece of the bathroom sink counter was missing. Moldy shower curtain. We pushed the furniture in front of the door for safety because the lock was broken & there were people hanging out outside all night

There was no working phone number for this hotel. Red flag #1. Luckily, despite not being able to call and arrange a late check-in, management kindly and quickly accommodated us after we had driven for twelve hours. At this price point, there were so many options that I'm sure would've been a million times better near Albany. Pictures did not capture the complete neglect of the property. And nothing could have prepared us for such filthy conditions. Walls covered in mysterious smears, splashes, stains in every inch of the space. Blankets with cigarette burns. Unswept, unmopped (a previous guest's disposable contacts were still on the floor of the bathroom). Smelly. Shower temp was inconsistent. AC worked--but looked like it had been through a war. Housekeeping does come in your room to make the beds and replace towels. They have an unusual practice of taking the trash out of everyone's rooms and just setting it in front of their doors. That's the scene we came home to after being at a music festival all day: Trash bags in front of each hotel room like some weird evil Bizarro Santa had stopped by while we were gone. The bags were still there when we left the next morning. It seemed most guests were long-term, down on their luck residents. We come from rural WV so are no strangers to living amongst a marginalized & underserved population so with all this and when the mobile food pantry came to deliver we weren't shook as somebody maybe coming from the suburbs would be.

Shower did not work , Sink did not drain, Floors were disgusting, Room two doors down were in a very loud screaming fight till one in morning and the one stuffed chair in room was filthy. However refrigerator and TV worked great.

The photos in the add must be from some years back. The room seemed to be clean but the outside is worn and tired. Lots of trash in the bushes and around the doors. They have several monthly renters living in the units around our room. The photo in the add shows 2 photos of coffee and rolls. Take it down from the site, no coffee or rolls to be found at front desk.

I would not say at this place if it’s that last place to pick the room smelt nasty like cigarets the floor was coming apart there were a bunch of scratches all over the floor and night stands the only nice thing about is the bathroom and the beds are hard as a rock my back is hurting really bad and plus check is at 11am not 10 and the house keeping people came in when we were laying in bad like how rude know when checkout is

Under featured. No coffee maker, glasses missing, etc.

This is a horrible hotel. Dirty beds hard drug dealers everywhere will never stay here again

I liked the responsiveness of the front desk staff - they were great to accomodate my request to move to a more quit room. I also liked that the rooms were large, with microwave and refridgerator, TV and excellent working heat.

Very unexpected for the Money I Paid, I was impressed
