It’s our last night at Quinta da Casa Branca in Funchal, and tomorrow we will be very sorry to have to leave and go home. Our experience here has been marvellous - the service, the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the rooms & associated gardens have all been first class. Yes, the rooms are a bit old fashioned, and the shower (which is hot and powerful) over the bath is unusual, but these all add up to the quaintness and uniqueness of QdCB. It’s not a modern, functional and soulless hotel like so many in the area, but if that’s what you’re after then there’s plenty of those to choose from. QdCB is a touch of class that offers a peaceful and restful vacation spot. We will definitely be coming back !

Beautiful, tranquil gardens make for a relaxed atmosphere. We really liked the blend of historic house and minimalist modern architecture of the new section of the hotel.
