"Very Relaxing by the Beach"

10.0

This is our second stay here. You are always warmly greeted and given a orientation. We had a honeymoon suite this time with a lovely view over the lagoon and right on the beach. We chose to rent a car and found it really useful for getting around the Island and especially for going to restaurants. It seems to us in some 10 years of coming here that the standard of restaurant has improved significantly and we have had some lovely meals. One highlight was unquestionably the Silver Sands restaurant in Muri. Their a la carte has changed to providing a number of smaller meals at half the price of a main with the thought that two of these would suit many people who might otherwise only have a main but they can be up sized if needed. The meals we had were outstanding, and we only wished we had found this out earlier as the menu had so many interesting options. The snorkeling straight outside the resort is very good indeed and compares well to the better options in other Pacific locations we have visited. There is nothing better than sipping a delightful New Zealand wine on a balmy evening overlooking the lagoon with the sand in your toes a few metres from your unit. We could even see the fish in the water from our unit on a still evening. It's worth noting that there is only one tv channel but if your intention is to get away from it all and relax that doesn't really matter! We love it here.

"Beautiful raro destination"

10.0

Great service and beautiful grounds. Was quite isolated which may be good or bad, depending what you want. We found it a little difficult as there was not much within walking distance (restaurants) however once we got a car it was a lot easier. I'd happily stay here again but would arrange transport sooner.

"Can't wait to return"

10.0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would both return without question. After we booked we had to communicate directly with Amber at Royale Takitumu, to arrange airport transfers and this set the tone for the rest of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was handled in a friendly and efficient manner. She even upgraded our transfer to VIP given we arrived after midnight and were greeted with cold towels and champagne for our drive from the airport. Our villa had everything we could have required and was located right on the beachfront, so we could literally walk onto the beach and into the lagoon for spectacular snorkelling. The snorkel gear was near new and of great quality and was readily available without booking throughout the stay, as were the kayaks and beach loungers.

"The Best Of Both Worlds."

10.0

I have been to Rarotonga many times, in fact its my favourite place to stay in the Pacific Islands. One of the things that I love about Rarotonga, is there are all sorts of accommodation to suite all your needs and a great variety of international places to eat as well, excluding all the major international fast food chains is the best move that any tourist destination has ever done in my personal opinion. Unlike most places where you can be trapped on a resort , here you have the ability to get out and about the island at little cost, either by bus or motor scooter hire car and enjoy all the great beaches around the island and literally get into the true understanding and the meaning of those words, Island time. If you want to relax, get the sand between your toes and turn the outside world off, I highly recommend Rarotonga as the best destination for the three B's in the world, Beach, Book and a cold beer , as it works for me every time.

"it's risky to say too much about this place! "

10.0

Why? Figure it out. One should hold close those experiences and places that are special, compliment and fulfil the desire of a lovely quiet holiday in an amazing spot! There, I've said enough.

"Villas/Bungalows at beach, very private!"

10.0

Very private wonderful place, ocean or garden view bungalows available, directly at a sandy beach with wide protected lagoon for snorkeling or kayaking, very clean and well maintained. If you love a beautiful private atmosphere with some weekly invitations to socialize with the other guests (brunch, petanque/boule) and do not want/expect a resort own restaurant, than this is definitely the place on Rarotonga to go and be. For us this first time will not be the last one!

"Fantastic experience"

10.0

A Honeymoon Apartment right on the water was a fantastic option. Friendly hosts and the set up was exactly what we were after. A perfect place to relax for a few days and nothing could be faulted about the way that the whole place was administered.

"Perfect Relaxing Holiday"

10.0

Royale Takitumu was fantastic. The location is unbeatable if you want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of reality. Right next to the beach with snorkelling, swimming and kayaking available at all times, we swam nowhere better than this on the entire island. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't a resort with room service to have a good time. Stay here is you can.

"Exceeding your imagination. "

10.0

Imagine coconut palms, sand, waves, a lagoon, beach chairs, hammock and luxury - this is what you get. We had booked the honeymoon villa as it has a view from the villa directly to the water and it exceeded expectations. There is a kitchen with stove top and microwave, jug, toaster, utensils and enough tea, coffee etc to get you going. Even a plunger with coffee available. The spa bath was great and bathroom large. King bed which I found a little hard but fine for my husband. I am tough to please though! DVD with TV and recommend you take some DVDs with you althought here are some at the office to use. iPod docking station too. No sky or restaurant, but you can explore the island and visit many amazing restaurants, several with sea views and we watched rugby at a small bar with mini golf course, they had food too. Our side of the island was windy but the weather was a little wet and stormy when we were there. It came right though. Snorkel gear and kayaks available at no extra charge and we joined in with a couple of gatherings of guests - morning tea one time and pรฉtanque another time with champagne and nibbles. Car hire great service delivered to the door and scooter hire nearby in Muri. six days rest and recreation, eating wonderful meals and enjoying wine and cocktails. Perfect.
