Motu Beachfront Art Villas

The Royal Takitimu are a must saty accommodation for those who wish to experience total privacy, relaxation and tranquility. Set amongst beautifully cared fror grounds the chalets are spacious and clean. These are self contained, but a starter pack of milk, bread, butter and assorted jams, as well as teas, coffees are there. A lovely little fruit platter is also provided on arrival. There's a mini superette across the road for essentials, or a trip into town to the larger supermarkets are an easy ride by bus or rental car. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, going about their daily routines quietly and efficiently so as not to disturb anyone. Our chalet was right on the beach front so we had the most magnificent views every single day. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Takitimu and can't wait to come back again some day.

What a great place. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon when most things are closed. Mii had arranged a reservation at a local restaurant that included a free pick up and drop off service, absolutely wonderful to not have to worry about where you were going to eat and how you were going to get there on our first night. The rest of the holiday was extremely relaxing, we had a garden villa, but it was a quick 10 second stroll to get to the beautiful beach. Once my husband went out snorkelling there was no getting his attention until he was finished. Would definitely recommend Royal Takitumu to anyone just wanting time away from the real world.

Well appointed, well maintained accommodation in a secluded and pretty location (but on the best part of the lagoon and within walking distance to shop/bars/restaurants). Only ten bungalows which means a very quiet beach and pool, plenty of sun loungers, hammocks, snorkelling gear and canoes. Great customer service on-hand for such a small place, led by Mi'i, who is there to greet you, answer queries, make bookings (very helpful) and who also hosts occasional guest social events (morning tea etc)

Honeymooners who stayed at Royale Takitumu for 3 nights. We travelled around the area of Rarotonga and found that the lagoon outside of the Royale Takitumu was one of the best as the beach was sand rather than crushed up coral and rocks, and you had the option to have enough area to swim or to snorkle. Mii was amazing as she was educative and helpful with our stay. She had upgraded us from the garden villa to the lagoon view villa, we also had an upgrade with airport transfers. I would recommend the lagoon view villas - you may not be on the beach front, but you definately feel it as your patio area over looks the lagoon. I appreciated the finer details that made staying here enjoyable and comfortable. These finer details proved that the place was well maintained. EgDaily cleaning, beach side hammocks were clean, sun beds had clean cushions & didn't look worn, kayaks weren't sun damaged. Peace & quiet in the area. Minimal people. Large Open Villas with included spa if you get the lagoon view. Walk out into one of the best areas of the lagoon. Enjoyed the complimentary wine by the beach. No restaurant or bar, but Mii organised transfers to any restaurants that we wanted to go to which did not cost us any thing additional. We hired a scooter for our own transport during the day. While there was no option for b.fast, the fridge was stocked with some fruit, bread, milk, juice & jam which lasted the 3nights.

Wonderful friendly,attentive staff. Mii is a gem in facilitating this paradise-like atmosphere. Great access to all amenities. Would recommend seaview or beachfront villa if you can afford. Loved the Petanque and champagne get -togethers with other guests on Fridays and the raw fish cooking lesson by Mii.Hope to return some day.

From the beginning, being met by the efficient and friendly staff to the early morning departure, our holiday far outweighed any expectations. We immediately felt welcome, relaxed and very much at home in the beautiful tranquil surroundings of perfectly maintained gardens with the stunning reef right on our doorstep. Hotel Manager provided local knowledge that made decisions easier. The head and neck ei making was a true highlight as was the scuba diving (Pacific Divers). We only had 9 nights but feel as though we have been away for much longer.

Very nice resort. The property could be improved by making the beach as accessible as possible and offering a small breakfast to give the hotel a sense of community.

Perfect setting for relaxing holiday
