Accueil froid . On arrive plus tôt pour laisser notre valise, pas un mot . Lors de l'enregistrement on demande à récupérer notre valise on nous dit que celle ci est deja dans la chambre. Faux! Obligé de redescendre la chercher et cela dans une indifférence totale. Pas de bouteille d'eau dans la chambre. On doit l'acheter à la réception . C'est dommage pour un hotel 4 étoiles...

Az első két nap nem volt fűtés a fürdőszobában, ezért ott hideg volt. A személyzet segítőkész volt, de a karbantartó nem dolgozott hétvégén.

Terrible experience - misleading images and a hotel that is delivering way below what it charges. We booked a “Superior Room” at The Hunfeld for two nights, supposedly among its nicest rooms for a price of above 300 €/night. What looked great in the website pictures turned out to be a complete disappointment. The room had no proper bathroom, instead there were a shower, toilet and sink directly in the entryway of the room. There was one tiny window towards Mariaplaats and the second window faced a roof (which was about 1 m away) - so absolutely no view. The room was poorly lit, with dark empty corners and had horrible heating - on the one hand it was cold and drafty because of the poorly isolating windows, on the other hand there was dry, hot air blown into the room by the AC unit. Sure, you could say its the old “boutique” building with its own charm, but for >300 €/night we would expect a comfortable, well designed and homey space, not something like this. Also, the whole building had a subtle smell of sewage, which was very off-putting. Given all of this, we felt not at all comfortable in this hotel and decided to cut our Utrecht trip short. We left after the first night, with this hotel being the reason for it. (The hotel will likely respond to this saying that we did not give them the chance to help us with those issues, but given that we already had one of the most “premium” rooms and felt overall uncomfortable in this place, we saw no point in trying to arrange a room change or similar.) We did receive a partial refund from the hotel (75 €), and this review does not exist to pressure the hotel into doing something we want. Instead, we want to inform others about this terrible experience, because what is much better than choosing The Hunfeld & leaving dissatisfied with a partial refund is to go elsewhere and to simply have a good experience.

The fact that there was no fridge in the room

Die Lage ist fantastisch, mitten drin in der Altstadt. Alles ist fussläufig zu erreichen und trotzdem ruhig. Mit Fahrstuhl, super, denn das Zimmer war im 3. Stockwerk. Gute Betten.
