Sand Dunes Resort and Suites

The resort was HUGE and despite a map, not easy to navigate. Had to drive to the front desk for extra towels and blanket. The parking garages were VERY tight, poorly signed and filthy to boot. Once we found our actual room, no easy feat from the poorly signed parking deck, the floor in the unit was disgusting. (See photos of bath towels used to clean up the worst of it) The furniture in the sitting area was disgustingly dirty, and the couch was not a pull out, which i was lead to believe it would be. The bathroom was run down, fixtures broken, no art on the wall, and the fan was so loud that it woke up everyone everytime someone visitied the batroom in the night. The water park was small and disappointing. It was over crowded, while the photos make it look big &so fun, there's only a small pool and a water spraying junglegym with a few slides. The restaurant, salt and lime was also disappointing. The drinks were spot on, but the food was mediocre. Great presentation, but no flavor. The food runner from the kitchen stopped and tried to give us food that wasn't ours twice -once with menus still on the table- this seems like nitpicking, but somone else's plates touched our table. Not good. We sat on the outside patio and the anount of flies that bothered our table ruined the meal. At least the beach was ok. We paid an EXORBITANT amount to spend the last night of our vacation at the hotel with a water park. A Holiday Inn would have been cleaner and more enjoyable.

The hotel was is nice location. Spacious rooms with full kitchen and separate dining table. Great ocean view, pool and lazy river was great. Kids enjoyed it a lot. Didn’t like seeing dead cockroach in lobby. They don’t clean room every day so had to call front desk for clean towels and had to get bathroom tissues.

Great water park. Lots of good restaurants and bars on property. Convince store on property was nice too. Never had to leave resort for four days after we checked in. Very family friendly!!

Very old hotel felt more like a motel. Rooms were dirty and outdated. Bedding was old and outdated. Water never got hot just warm. No housekeeping had to go to front desk for everything. Microwave dirty and old. No smart tv. Everything just old best part was the view. Very disappointed. Would not recommend

Prior stays trash under sink, shower drain clogged with hair and blue fabric. Windows were dirty by the balcony. Shower rod coming off wall in the bathroom. Definitely was not worth the Money spent.

First time to Myrtle Beach and first time at this resort. Would not recommend for the price. Way overpriced, outdated, dirty, and rund-down.

Liked the ocean view from my room and that it’s close to the beach

Wouldnt call this a resort... No room service They put us on the very top floor Elevators stop on every floor to pick up others waiting to go down.. so coming from the 12th floor pretty much stop on every level takes forever to get back downstairs Small pool very packed.. not much parking spaces... restaurant staff was friendly thought... not worth the beach view... for a small tiny room and tiny uncomfortable beds... no kitchen .. wouldn't come back..
