Sand Dunes Resort and Suites

The hotel said no pets allowed and I saw different kinds of dogs. That’s something that I didn’t expect and also the beach area. Some people told us to move or umbrellas to be behind the area where they were renting. How could I enjoy the ocean with a bunch of umbrellas in front of me.

Everything you need for a mini vacay with the kids. Pools/waterpark/beach/food/arcades. We enjoyed our week stay- perfect end of the summer trip.

The property had roaches and black mold and when I requested to leave the property they gave me attitude and told me I couldn’t leave until the morning which caused me to have to pay for a night

Front Desk never answers the phone. Floors were nasty. Shower was nasty.

Overall, this place was fairly clean. The rug in the living room was nearly black with dirt/wear. It should be removed or replaced. It was disgustingly dirty and we had a baby crawling on it. The water park opened at 11 and closed at 7:00 pm which is too early. I was very disappointed in that. This is our annual family trip and I will not stay here again.

Rented 2 rooms for ourselves and our cousins. The rooms were not alike. Theirs had been updated with a walk in shower and granite countertops. Their room wasn’t as bad as ours except for the bra left in the closet and the dirty floors. The rooms we had were misrepresented in photos. The photo shows a door, which we were hoping for to have a bit more privacy from our daughter who slept on the sofa in the living room area. No door and as we looked closer, the door in the photo is leaned against the wall and in fact would not have closed due to the bed in the way. Also, the ocean view balcony shown in the photo must be on an end unit, because the only way we could see the ocean was if you hung yourself over the railing or if you stood in the very back corner of the balcony in both units we rented. The “waterpark” was obviously taken with a wide angle lens because it was much smaller than expected. Cleanliness was a big issue. The floors were filthy, mold in the showers, and the vents were filthy as well. The bed had sand in it when I slid in and it wasn’t from my feet. Same with all beds. No toilet paper in the bathroom upon arrival. The front desk staff was accommodating, but not very friendly. That being said, the restaurant staff were all very nice and very attentive all 3 times that we ate or had drinks and the beach was beautiful! I know you get what you pay for and the price was reasonable for a beach stay, but I will not book here again.

Was sending lot of bugs and our patio plastered was falling down

Oceanfront room. Beautiful. Needs more people at time of check-in. Space is at a premium, I understand, but lugging suicases thru the parking garage is dangerous.
