Club Wyndham Newport Onshore

Club Wyndham Onshore was disappointing. The room did not feel clean; carpets visibly dirty and worn, and dated furniture. Our room had a mouse that was not very shy and we saw it multiple times while waiting for the front desk to get back to us. We had to go down to the lobby to get it resolved. Management initially said they could not move us and would just place a trap in our room…. They eventually found a room and moved us to a different floor. We were not given any other comps for this inconvenience late at night. The lower floors are closer to the rowdy bar on the ground floor. If you have kids or are planning on going to bed early, the 3rd floor is very noisy. Someone in the bar also accidentally pulled the fire alarm and we had to evacuate the hotel. Overall just a messy, poorly run hotel. Club Wyndham Long Wharf is much better than this one. Will not be staying here again.

Was not expecting such large accommodations and was pleasantly surprised with the amenities and 2 decks. and washer/dryer.

There was some confusion over the parking space assigned to us was also assigned to another guest so we used a spare one next to the construction scaffolding. Luckily there was no damage to our car due to its location. Heat/AC controls difficult to read and control so we spent first night with no heat,

This was our second time staying at Club Wyndham Onshore. The units are very large with a nice balcony and a smaller one on the back side. One bedroom has a large bathroom with a large tub which we never used. Would prefer a shower with glass door. There is a shower in the second bathroom off the kitchen. We were pleased with the location of our unit. Prefect for sunset!

The unit was a two bedroom which was perfect for us. We also like the area, as there are so many places that we could just walk to and not have to take the car. Our check in with Jarneya was exceptional. She explained everything in great detail for us. She even went out to talk with the construction workers about moving their trucks so we could access our building.

We really could have used grab bars on the inside wall of both showers. The tubs seemed to be slippery. Also, we did find out at check-out that we could have requested rubber mats, perhaps a sign indicating that they are available would be helpful. Due to the on going renovation of another building, we found the walk to our building to be very dark, and a little scary. The parking spot we were assigned was very tight. But, we do understand that the buildings were built when people had smaller vehicles.
