Hampton Inn Stony Creek

Construction is going on. Management didn't supply emergency accommodation for reception and breakfast. A temporary trailer would have been appreciated. Too much money for management. No reduction of the room price for all the inconvenience. The supplied breakfast was not even worth mentioning. Cheap, cheap :-(

They are redoing lobby. Kind of awkward with men using loud drills, etc,taking up old tile floors. Other than that, upstairs corridors and rooms were beautiful and up to date. Only complaint was it took about 5 minutes to get hot water.

We like the location which we use several times a year. Previously, the property was in great shape.

The construction/remodeling was a surprise. The lobby and first floor hallways were being remodeled which was messy. The staff was friendly. The check in process was slow because of the computer. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was acceptable.

Every Hampton Inn I’ve been in has been very nice except this one! They say the rooms are newly refurbished. There was a trickle of hot water pressure in the sink, there was a beer cap from the previous occupier of the room on the floor and the bathroom I’m pretty sure was barely cleaned. The shower doors had numerous watermarks on them, which means that they were not cleaned from the previous occupier of the room. It was not clean at all and not up to Hampton Inn standards. No place to walk your dog, some seats in the dining room were so filthy I couldn’t sit on them.

Nice updated room. Breakfast was great—excellent cheese omelets as opposed to scrambled eggs. Only thing I would recommend is having 2 chairs in the room as opposed to just 1 desk chair.

This hotel was under construction. Guest should be made aware and perhaps offer a discount Plastic sheets hanging in the lobby and hallways. During lobby construction perhaps best to close a couple of days
