H10 Playa Esmeralda - Adults Only

Don’t choose this hotel if you like to be near the centre of a resort with lots of bars and restaurants close. Do choose it if you want a classy hotel, with great facilities, food, staff and a gorgeous beach right alongside. We’ve been here three times and it doesn’t disappoint. The negative comments about such as the food might only be justified if you have a very specific requirement and we cringed a bit when we heard one guest tell the receptionist on checking out that a specific type of cola hadn’t been available. The food and drink is lovely and very varied. It’s a lovely hotel in all ways.

Privileg ist es nicht wert. Angeblich tgl neue Polltücher. Nach 3x urgieren 1x gewechselt. Frühstück weniger Auswahl als bei Standard. 1. Reihe heißt zT. Direkt am Parkplatz. Großes Schild Liegen reservieren verboten. Um 8:00 alle Liegen reserviert ind keinem bom Personal kümmert es

Hotel jest pięknie położony. Ma wyjście na plażę, a tam można przejść plażą wzdłuż brzegu oceanu . Pokoje są wystarczająco duże , czyste, z balkonami. Prawie wszystkie mają widok na ocean.Hotel jest otoczony pięknymi , starannie utrzymanymi ogrodami.Jest to hotel dla dorosłych, dla turystów , którzy szukają spokoju, chcą odpocząć od pracy , zmienić otoczenie. W hotelu są sklepy, 3 baseny, kawiarnie, taras, Jest nawet gabinet lekarza, skrzynki pocztowe..wszystko. Każdego dnia jest [dla chętnych] gimnastyka w basenie albo na sali, a wieczorami są koncerty, artystyczne programy. Jest jednak zasada,że kończą się około 22.30. Śniadania i pozostałe posiłki to uczta dla smakoszy. Przez dwa tygodnie pobytu nie udało nam się skosztować nawet połowy podawanych dań. Wszystko pyszne, świeże. Owoce , warzywa, desery...wyborne dania. Hotel jest bardzo popularny i oblegany przez tych, którzy chcą mieć piękne wakacje.

Wszystko było doskonałe.

Die Lage des Hotels mit direktem Zugang zu einer schönen Bucht hat mir sehr gefallen. Auch das Essen war hervorragend. Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich und schnell (Restaurant). Die Zimmerausstattung hat mir auch gut gefallen, Preis- Leistung passt. Es wird viel geboten (Pool, Gym, Sauna, Live-Musik am Abend usw). Besonders gut fand ich, dass überall (im Frühstücksraum, bei den Bars...) kostenlose Wasserspender standen, an denen man eigene Flaschen unbegrenzt mit Wasser (still oder auch Sprudel) auffüllen konnte. Super!

Ich hatte leider erst ein Zimmer mit Blick auf das Dach der Außenbar (statt gebuchtem Meerblick). Auch lärmtechnisch (Musik bis in die Nacht) entsprach das nicht meinen Vorstellungen von einem erholsamen Aufenthalt. Die Rezeption war aber sofort hilfsbereit und gab mir ein anderes, ruhigeres Zimmer in einem anderen Hotelflügel. Darauf sollte man achten, es ist ein sehr großes Hotel mit sehr unterschiedlichen Bereichen (ruhig oder mittendrin im Geschehen).

Hotel in very quiet location, area is beautiful, but not close to local ammenities, closest restaurants about 25 min walk, and only average, not a lot of choice, Entry to hotel is lovely. As is sun deck area and pool. Food is very average, not a lot of variation. Most areas are clean, but outside dining area needs some attention. Seating in bar area is very limited in evening, entertainment very minimal. Just an average 4 star hotel.

We had a lovely 5 nights all inclusive at H10 Playa Esmeralda. The staff are great and helpful with any issues that arise. The room was nice and spacious and the beds were comfortable. They could be slightly more modern but this is a minor point. We had a nice outdoor terrace with slight sea view. The cleaners provided a good service. The food was generally nice, I particularly enjoyed the prawns and paella served in the main restaurant as well as freshly cooked crepes, made in front of you and various show cooking. Sometimes the buffet was a Luke-warm. I’d have also liked hash browns at breakfast and not dinner. We also had a meal at the Privilege restaurant and the Italian restaurant- both of these were very good. We ate at the snack bar at lunch a few times and this was nice as the food was cooked to order and hot. We certainly didn’t go hungry! The overall ambience of this hotel is very relaxed and chilled which is exactly what we were after. We usually are on the go constantly so this was the perfect place to relax. We spent a lot of time just relaxing around the hotel. Entertainment- A real highlight of our trip was the entertainment provided by Wajdi. He made our trip so fun (my partner was very pleased with his 5 diplomas for winning all the games!) and if everyone was half as positive and happy as Wajdi, the world would be a better place ! Thank you Wajdi. The evening entertainment was also OK, we particularly enjoyed the violin/guitar duo. We also loved all the cats around the resort 😊 The spa was a nice addition but the Turkish bath wasn’t working when we were there unfortunately and the indoor pool area had a few jets not working. All in all, a great relaxing week at this hotel.

Es hat alles gefallen, die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, die leckere und reichhaltige Auswahl des Essens im Buffetrestaurant, die Sauberkeit der Zimmer, die Grösse, die Duschen, die Betten mit guten Matratzen, die an der Wand installierten Wäscheständer auf den Balkonen, der nahe Zugang zum Strand, hinten am Hotel, die barrierefreien Wege, die Pools.

We have just returned from a week's holiday here and here is our honest review. 1. Arrival and lobby area We were impressed with the looby area on arrival and were given towels and taken to our room. It is a huge hotel with blocks of rooms situated in different blocks than the main one but once you get your head around where you are based in relation to the pools, beach and main restaurant its easy to get around. Our room was lovely, clean, modern and comfy bed. Room cleaning is available every day. 2 Smoking/Vaping At first I was very disappointed with the strict no smoking in the lovely outside area of the lobby bar or at loungers by the pool. I know realise that these are laws brought in by the government in 2026 so I know its not something the hotel has any control over. That said the one area in the entire complex where you can smoke (located in the pool area) was not good. It consisted of one very uncomfortable bench with ash trays nailed to the wall on either side of it. A few nice tables, chairs and umbrellas would make this much more comfortable and welcoming. Proper ash trays on tables would be a nice touch too. 3. Pool area and loungers The main pool is warmish and has graduated steps making getting in and out easy - a great thing for those like ourselves who are getting on a bit! 4. Food Sadly, along with the dismal Smoking area was our main issue. Due to lack of variety of choices and tasteless dishes I existed on chips, salad and bread. We are not big foodies or food snobs by any stretch but we really struggled with the offering daily. We had one night in the Stromboli restaurant and it was better, but pizza is pizza. Good caprese salad to start. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere or we might have gone elsewhere else to eat, but having paid for all inclusive we shouldn't have had to. 5. Drinks Most top brand spirits were included but not all unlike other H10 hotels in the Canaries we have stayed at. Drinks at the pool bar all seemed to come from taps so you had no idea what you were getting. Water is freely available at all times from the lobby and pool bar. Service was generally good but orders at the lobby bar have to be done via an app and it took us several days to work out how to request no ice which is my preference. Sadly, mainly due to the food, we will not be returning but wish to thank the hotel for the clean, comfortable and mostly enjoyable stay

We had an amazing time, the staff were lovely, we would like to say a special thank you to wajdi from acttiv our activity entertainment guide for the week he will make you feel welcome and seams to speak every language. (My abs hurt today) We are right on the beach less then 2 mins walk from my room to wet feet. I'd also like to mention our waiter who remembered us and our regular orders. All in all a great place to relax and chill out. Ps. The reception bar does the good cocktails 🍸 👌 Pps. If you can the spa was wonderful too.
