Sligo Southern Hotel & Leisure Centre

Die Lage ist sehr gut unweit des Zentrums. Das Hotel hat den Charme eines Grandhotels, zumindest in der Lobby und im Erdgeschoss. Nur wenige Gehminuten bis in die City. Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt am Hotel. Sehr freundliches Personal (Rezeption, Speisesaal). Das Frühstückbuffet war herausragend sowohl bezogen auf Auswahl, Vielfalt und Frische.

Die Zimmer haben keine Klimaanlagen und es war sehr heiß in unserem Gebäudetrakt. Wir haben aufgrunddessen sehr schlceht geschlafen. Bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie erwarte ich standardmässig eine Klimaanlage. der Zugang zu unserem Zimmer war zudem nicht barrierefrei, was sich mit schwerem Gepäck anstrengend und umständlich gestaltete. Das Fitnesscenter war am Wochenende leider auch nicht nutzbar, da geschlossen. Schade, das könnte man sicherlich anders organisieren für Gäste, die sich dort sportlich betätigen möchten und keine Anleitung bzw. Aufsicht benötigen, das funktioniert in anderen Hotels problemlos.

All staff were exceptionally friendly and mannerly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Food was delicious, bed was soo comfortable, our room had all amenities and was spotless. The pool was lovely and warm and the gym was very well equipped. I would highly recommend Sligo Southern Hotel and Leisure Centre to anyone looking for that special Get away.

Wonderful lounge with plush sofas.

The rooms were large with a good bathroom, breakfast had a good variety, ( all self serve). There were good facilities, gym , pool, none of which we utilized. Parking was good with easy access.

This is a hotel that is trying to be a 4 star but letting it down was staff appeared to not be happy. First time in Ireland where staff were efficient but not friendly. Breakfast in basement area had good layout and adequate seating but dinner only in the bar where seating was strange and the food we expericed was poor, the chicken curry tasted as it came from a package. The dining experience sub par.

Very clean hotel and comfortable beds

The heat in the room was unbearable at night. They had left a fan which we left on all night and opened the window, but it was still far too warm. We were unable to sleep well because of it

A very nice hotel, excellent facilities, fairly luxurious. Nice pool (& no hidden charges) and steam room.

17 euro for breakfasts was a bit exorbitant
