We were extremely disappointed that the inn did not serve any breakfast. Highly unusual. In a letter placed in the room, the inn management said they had stopped serving breakfast because it was too expensive. The room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable.
GBBeautifully decorated rooms in a great location close to the centre of Rockport. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept so well here!
The only comment I have is that we booked a long time in advance, when breakfast was included in the room rate. They no longer offer breakfast, which was totally fine, but this wasn’t communicated to us before we arrived, despite this still clearly being stated on the room rate. There also weren’t any hangers in our room, would recommend bringing your own!
We made a 7-night reservation for the Dog Watch Room in 2024 based on the website description that it was a bed and breakfast and when we arrived on August 4, 2025, we were informed by a note left on the dresser that breakfast was no longer provided. The king sized bed was too big for the room requiring to walk sideways to reach the far side. It was too low on a wooden base that did a number on my toes and ankles when walking around the bed. The bed was too soft and felt I was sleeping on a water bed close to the floor. The bathroom was nicely redone but not functional as there was no place to place your toiletries and the drawer space was awkward and limited. The website needs to be updated to properly reflect the accommodations including the complementary ride from the Boston airport which was non-existent. The kitchen downstairs was clean and well stocked with appliances, dishes and coffee maker. We only stayed 6 of the 7 nights we paid for to be near the Boston airport for a 10am morning flight.
USBeautiful place. As others have said stairs are very steep so ask for the first floor options unless you and your knees/hips are in tip top shape. Loved Rockport and we could walk to everything. Stairs are the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars
USWhat an excellent experience. We were within walking distance of everything in down town Rockport. The bathroom/shower was compact but very functional. The bedroom and living area were comfortable, with our own personal private outdoor patio. If you like tiny-home living, this is a perfect spot. We'll definitely be coming back!
