The view was nice and central location

The room was in such a bad state we may as well have stayed at a $50 a night motel. There was crumbled gyprock in the bedroom, cracks in the ceiling, poorly plastered bathroom and such a mouldy and unclean shower we wore shoes in the shower. Such a rip off for the price we paid, we left a night earlier than planned because we couldn’t stand it any more. Provided feedback to reception who couldn’t give less of a crap if they tried!

Beds were a bit hard

It was close to the main road - easy access to restaurants and cafes

The room was dirty, it was noisy and there were cockroaches throughout.

Great location. Nicely furnished apartment and well supplied kitchen. Even included some books, board games and kids activities which was a nice touch for a family. Lovely pool and games room was a hit with the kids. Staff were wonderful - not only friendly and helpful, but resolved an issue with our shower (replacing the showerhead entirely) within 30 minutes.

There was no shelf in the shower, not even one that hangs over the shower head. This meant everything (bottles, razor, hair clips, combs) had to go on the floor. This is a lot of stuff for a family of 4. It would have been nice to have more hanging space for towels - given this is a beachside apartment. One tiny folding towel rail is not sufficient for towels and swimwear for a family. A shoerack at the front door wouldn't go astray either. Looked like a centipede was staying there most days haha. Finally, there are not enough powerpoints. Only one double power point in the kitchen, and only one in the family room over behind the dining table. This made it difficult to find somewhere suitable to charge devices (which most families have a lot of). Minor details yes - but details matter and for the minimal cost to supply these can make a big difference to comfort and satisfaction.
