Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

We had an amazing time! Beautiful property and the most wonderful staff. We went to celebrate our birthdays and Valentines Day. We went mostly for the kids club and my daughter enjoyed it so much (she’s 6). The restaurants were all great. The night of my daughters birthday we had Andrey as a server in the World Buffet…he truly went out of his way to make my daughters birthday super special and had everyone sing to her. Thank you again Andrey! We do feel as if they need more pools (especially with all the sargassum in the ocean). We stayed on the preferred side and I like how close it was to the beach. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

We came here for our babymoon and enjoyed our time at Dreams Tulum. My first time at an all inclusive was a good one. We had a swim out room. The resort felt like we were in the jungle, as iguanas, cats, racoons, birds, etc are around but dont bother the guests. The rooms and facilities can feel a bit dated but the staff does their best to upkeep it. Pools were fine, unfortunately we didnt get into the ocean since the beach did have a lot of seaweed, but that is expected this time of year. Food was alright, some restaurants are better than others. We enjoyed the French and Mexican restaurants the most. Horacio at the gym was great, he was very nice and kept the gym clean and tennis running smoothly. Thank you to the staff! Note: if you do the timeshare presentation, be prepared for it to go over 90 minutes if you arent firm in saying no to high pressure sales. We were respectful of their time and expect them to return the favor.

Dated is the headline for this property. It is due for a remodel. Pros: the room was the one spot where it appears that they have done some updates. The staff was for the most part friendly and accommodating. Cons: The sargassum (seaweed) makes the beach unusable, but this is expected during this time of year. The preferred upgrade did not offer a lot of benefit unless you wanted to use the lounge which is just off from the coffee shop area. The lobby and lobby bar is nearly unusable as it is so far from the rest of the resort. The food is subpar even for an all-inclusive. The wait to get into most restaurants is incredibly long, you put your name in, then wait, but have to be around when the call your name. There are not enough loungers around the pool, and you must be up by 6:30pm if you want to start claiming a chair. There's really nothing else around this resort, it's pretty well isolated. Overall it is just a very outdated property. I would consider it very average as best for an all-inclusive. For reference, in this area I've stayed at: -Hyatt Vivid Playa del Carmen -Barcelo Puerto Aventuras -Riu Palace Rivieria Maya -Iberostar Grand Paraiso -Dreams Riviera Cancu in Puerto Morelos -Secrets Riviera Maya -Sandos Playacar -and a few others. The above hands down better that this property.

Overall, it was a nice experience. The staff was wonderful. The drinks were great. We loved having the kiddie pool and a deeper pool right essentially connected to we could all be together while all kids (ages, 3, 5, and 10) were safe and happy. The beach had piles of seaweed 18 inches high and 6 feet across, and the water was pretty murky for 30-50 yards out. I never saw anyone swimming. I have heard that this year is unusually full of seaweed because of the hot weather, so maybe other years have been fine, but not this year. The beach was fun to play in the sand and walk along as long as you stayed away from the seaweed. The resort itself is beautifully maintained. The restaurants did not open until noon and 6 which was a little later than we would have preferred for the kids, but the food was good.

We chose Dreams Tulum because it was the only resort we found with a tennis court and it did not disappoint!!! Horacio, the tennis pro, made our morning sessions the best part of the trip. So much fun! Beautiful resort and amenities, but we’ll come back for the tennis!

The location was absolutely beautiful with so much pleasant wildlife to look at while your on the resort. The rooms were so nice with amazing maintenance and housekeeping who came quickly upon request. Alex was our housekeeper and always provided us with clean towels/sheets and a clean floor daily so we weren’t walking into a sandy room. The gym and tennis courts were so nicely keep with water bottles, towels, and fruit provided to grab throughout your workout. Horencia maintained these two areas with excellence and such a kind demeanor. The service at the pool and beach were excellent and everyone was so kind!! We will definitely make a trip back!!

Loved this resort! Beautiful grounds, not a huge resort, so easy to run back to your room if needed. Restaurants were great-fabulous food! Unfortunately, the sargassum was really bad at this time & we couldn't take advantage of the beautiful beach area, but the pool was a great second choice! The preferred club lounge was a nice added touch- so would recommend booking preferred. Large rooms, very clean

Right from when we arrived we were met with professional smiling people enjoying their jobs. We were a group of 10 staying Preferred. We had so much fun right from check in to check out. The food was amazing. Better than I expected. Service was top notch. One mishap I experienced during the week, our waitress forgot to bring our food over right away one night, so it was not as warm and fresh as it should have been but this didn't change my overall opinion. Highly recommend and I would go back there no problem.

Horacio has been a fabulous help at the tennis courts and at the gym!
