Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Collins

Nice stay.

A little dated and rooms are quite dark with old bedding and pillows.

Located just off a main street, making it convenient to access multiple routes around town

I loved that the breakfast was very good. Loved the Cold brew and the spinach feta crustless quiches

Room wasn’t clean (floors weren’t vacuumed and pull out bed was covered in food). Asked them to come clean it, didn’t vacuum everywhere and didn’t touch the pull out bed. Smell in the hallway was horrible. Was given 2 keys and only one worked

The front desk staff were very friendly

We stayed at the Residence Inn for the first time and were very disappointed. First, I will start with the things they can easily fix: We walked in and found we had no towels. There was still a dirty washcloth by the bathtub. They were out of bodywash. There were almost no dish-washing supplies. The ice maker didn't work and, we were told since the maintenance person didn't work on the weekend, it would be Monday before they could look at it. (After we had checked out.) We faced the incredible shrinking breakfast buffet. On Saturday it was pretty complete. On Sunday, there was no yogurt. On Monday, there was still no yogurt and there were no baked goods except bread for toast and English muffins. There is no reason they can't order enough food to last the weekend. Now for the harder to fix: We got a one-bedroom suite. After hearing people complain about the size of hotel rooms in NYC, I think this could have competed. It was almost the same dimensions as the bed, meaning it was very difficult to get around. The bathroom was fine. The living room wasn't big but it felt like they furnished it with stuff they got at a yard sale that was never meant to be used in that space. Only about half of the desk was usable because it was blocked by the couch. The drawers in the cabinet under the TV were basically unusable because they were blocked by the end of the desk. I know they are doing some remodeling and am not sure whether our room was a "before" or an "after". The staff I met were all friendly and accommodating. The location was nice and the room was quiet. The pool was out of commission but we knew that ahead of time so it was no problem. The next time we come to Fort Collins, I think we will look elsewhere.

The check in and out people were nice as can be. Felt very welcomed. The room was spacious and quiet, had everything I could have wanted, and they fed me breakfast in the morning. Free parking, too, (as opposed to the Hilton where I stayed the night prior). Would stay there again in a heartbeat

The staff was very helpful.

If the elevator didn’t break and the pool was open for the kids it would’ve been worth the $200 a night for the 2 bedroom suite. Other than that the hotel was nice.
