Penta Hotel

What an awesome place! We took our Holiday in Douglas and needed a hotel on the promonade for the final night before our ferry. This hotel was amazing! We had room 16 with a perfect view of the harbor. The room was comfortable, clean and check in was quick and easy. I would easily recommend this place to anyone needing a room.

Everything everyone has said in the reviews I agree with. However, I would say that the hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. My sister and I , both in our 70’s, found the steps up to the front door hard work. The lift was out of order one afternoon until mid breakfast the following day. We had to use the stairs. I luckily was on the first floor so just one flight on my hands and knees. The main problem was there was no handrail. I think this could be a safety issue and should be addressed by the hotel management. Just a note, all hotels on that stretch of front has the same steps to negotiate. You

It’s an amazing hotel. Our stay was very comfortable and staff was nice. We checked in at 12am and staff was very helpful.

A budget hotel. No full time reception. The rooms are clean, spacious. Breakfast is toast and tea affair. Well situated on the prom. Lift to higher floors. Tea and coffee in rooms. Some with big bath. Only down side toooo hoooot. It was like a sauna even the corridors.

A perfectly adequate hotel , good location on the promenade although I didn't get a sea view room. It was all very basic but clean room and facilities reflected the price and was all that I needed. Bedding clean and fresh as we're the very thin towels. Complimentary buffet breakfast of coffee oj toast cereal and yoghurt. I would stay again if needed and recommend to anyone looking for an affordable bed in Douglas

I can recommend the Penta. Next time we are in Douglas we will stay there again. The hotel is on the sea front and you can park on the promenade. The staff were most helpful. There is free wi fi as well.

Lovely hotel, the room was spacious and nice and clean. They offer a complimentary breakfast which was nice. It's in a great location a short walk from town and public transport links which allow you to explore the island. Good value for money.

A very good hotel, extremely clean, rooms are spacious, I note people have complained about the complimentary breakfast, no idea why? Choice of cornflakes, rice chrispies, muesli, brown/white toast, 2 types jam, honey or marmalade, orange/apple juice, choice of yoghurts, tea and coffee, excellent, downsides, no cold water in room, no matter how long you run the tap, tepid water is what you get so need to by a bottle, lift is bloody scary, max 2 people, shudders, bumps, but get there, I would stay here again, fantastic location

Nice hotel with good size rooms no problems with anything in the room and nice buffet style complementary breakfast the staff were nice and helpful The only thing I would pickup on is that the carpet in my room had some stains and could do with replacing but overall really happy and good value for money and would happily stay again.

Didn’t like the heat and the lack of ventilation in corridors, etc. No hot water when I showered early evening. Otherwise very happy.
