Residence Inn Hartford Avon

While I am pretty-tolerant or a less abrasive term might be pet-friendly, I don’t care to stay/sleep in a room where there’s clearly been a pet inside. The room reeked of a dog/pet, which I don’t care for—the pet smell, that is. And, the cost to stay there is so high, probably 30%-40% more than any other chain hotel in the surrounding area. And, the breakfast isn’t the best. However, I will say that the staff is very nice and friendly and professional.

Great I only stayed for one night but it was lovely if I ever have to be in that area for an event I will return. It was a nice experience

People make the difference. Both Lucia and Taylor took great steps to make me feel at home. I greatly appreciate their efforts.

I enjoy this hotel. It is rather no frills and could use some updates. However, it is very clean and the staff are fantastic. Especially Paul on the evening shift.

Room and stay were excellent. Very dispointed in the condition of the outside pool, water was colored green, with bandaid and other gems flowing. Needless to say the kids were disapointed.

Check in easy. Had a 1 bedroom suite. Furniture looks a bit tired. Pull out couch into bed mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable. Walls are also thin and guests were noisy. Breakfast was okay. Bed in suite may have been a queen but felt smaller, like a full. Very expensive for the caliber of the stay.

This hotel is very outdated. It is clean and the staff is amazing. The breakfast is fairly decent. There are at least a dozen rooms with window AC units. (We have one of them.) They work OK, but constantly have to run and the room is musty. We have been here a week and the jacuzzi has been broken the whole time.

All good at the site clean and good shape. Only issue was rooms were not ready. Mgr said not inspected He held our clothes for after dinner. Not a problem

Unfortunately, air conditioning was inadequate. Window conditioning was loud and kept us awake all night during this heat wave. Hotel officials were aware of this inadequacy and are hopeful for improvement with central air
