We have had an amazing 2 night stay at this fantastic Lodge, where we were all treated like VIPs. No request was too much effort. Definitely 100% worth a visit!

It has been our home from home for the last 40 years; our kids have grown up visiting this resort, and love it even more than we do! We only wish we could visit more often. See you next time.

Location of Kwa Maritane is incredible. You will almost always wake up to some new animal by the fence and the hide is incredible. The units seem to not have been updated since the 90's/early 2000's and there is the bare minimum when it comes to cutlery and crockery. The whole resort needs a serious overhaul and when you see how much money legacy throws at its other hotels and resorts you wonder why Kwa Maritane gets so little done.

Our family of 6 including girls (aged 15 & 12) and boys (aged 11 & 8) stayed in a family suite and enjoyed 4 game drives over a 3 night stay. We had an absolutely wonderful time. We did a full board option and enjoyed every meal, including the Saturday evening Bush Boma. Some in our family have Celiac Disease and we were able to work out safe options at each meal. One chef in particular went to special lengths to make sure we all were able to enjoy the meals walking around the buffet to show what would be safe to eat and even made specially prepared gluten-free desserts. Our game drives were a highlight! Our drivers were knowledgable and fun. They kept us and the natural world within the park safe. It is beautiful to see the protection brought to the land and animals, while inviting people to witness and enjoy in a safe way as well. We had some once in a lifetime sightings that we will never forget! Kwa Maritane is a treasure! We hope to visit again one day!

Beautiful accommodation, tasty food with lots to choose from, amazing game drives, Boma bush braai was an excellent experience, lovely music, we had an awesome time under the stars. Being in nature and watching the wildlife, especially the elephants from the hide was such a privilege. Lovely memories .... can't wait for next trip.

We had a wonderful 7 days in KwaMaritane. We left on Friday and was almost 100 km away, when Grace from Housekeeping phoned and said we forgot our binoculars. Jane, the housekeeper, handed it in. We send a courier on Monday and received everything today. After such an wonderful time and this experience, we will be back! Thank you all!

A very good resort with all facilities in the middle of the bush. Very peaceful environment with the sound of birds, monkeys and on occasions sighting of elephants and other animals outside the chalet. Rooms were very comfortable. Excellent place to go with family and friends and spent a week in peaceful environment.

We had the most wonderful time at Kwa Maritane for a birthday last week. The food offerings were incredible, the staff kind and helpful and the facilities are gorgeous! The underground bunker bird hide is a must see, and we spent a lot of time there as well as in the parks. The new Hino game viewers are beautiful and clean, however due to their wheelbase are not the most comfortable for the paths in the reserve. We definitely preferred the older UD viewers. But the boma braai on the Saturday evening was an absolute highlight, and so worth the rough roads distance to get there, it was magical. A must to experience even for South African visitors. Been coming to Kwa Maritane as time share holders, Staff friendly, everything works & the site is clean. Rooms cleaned very well each day. Look forward to our next stay.
