Harbor House Inn

I booked Harbor House Inn after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. I was going to Santa Barbara for a family occasion, and a lot of the activities were in downtown. One of the larger international brand beach front hotels was reserved for guests, but I cancelled that when I read about Harbor House Inn and am so happy I did. The place is charming, the room was ample for me (solo), super comfortable and homey. I loved having the aiblity to make my own simple breakfast in the small kitchen in the room. The kitchen while small was fully stocked, including freshly ground coffee with a drip (if you like coffee) and they supplied me with a tea kettle (I am finicky about my tea and like it steeped at a specific below boiling point which this kettle had!). I was in room 8 and while it did not have a "view", it had windows that let kept it airy and it felt very private because there are low hedges so you can keep the blinds open and let the light in. The shower was strong and hot, the bed was very comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean. The owners are delightful, welcoming and helpful and the sister even helped me make a last minute wardrobe decision which was so kind! Regarding the location, it was perfect. I could walk to State Street, the Funk Zone and the beach easily, and for the meetup places that were a bit out of walking distance, it was an inexpensive Uber ride to get there. I loved this place and will definitely return when I"m in the area and I thank the owners and staff for such a lovely and easy stay!

Really nice place, clean, modern and very comfortable. You can tell they know what they’re doing. Plus, you have free bikes to use, lots of snacks at your disposal and free Netflix. Would stay again!

We’ve stayed at this adorable place several times. The location is terrific; an easy walk to the Funk Zone, the harbor, and Stearns Wharf, but pretty quiet due to being a long block off the noisy main drag (Cabrillo Blvd). The rooms are charming and comfortable. Snacks in the lobby are a nice touch, and a full kitchen in most rooms make it very convenient to eat in if you want. Highly recommend. Book direct with the hotel for the lowest rate.

A very small but cute and romantic hotel only a block or so away from the beach. The stack has been amazing, with free coffee, tea, snacks, and water for guest. The room is small, but very comfortable, with a fridge with freezer, and a TV. Our room, number 10, had a private little patio sitting area in front of it, and it appears that the other rooms do also. The motel offers free beach cruiser, bicycle, rental, and beach accessories for a guest.
