Harbor House Inn

This is our favorite place to stay in Santa Barbara ! We have come multiple times to the Inn and always have a wonderful time. The location is perfect - walkable to the beach and to many lovely areas for dinner or just strolling. The rooms are very comfortable and have many delightful touches that make the inn feel like a homey get-a-way with a touch of luxury: bathrobes, yummy coffee in the room, biscotti and fruit, and bottle water with refills available all day. We use the free beach cruiser bikes every time to explore the area and head to the museums, State Street and beach. The staff is really welcoming, parking is easy and the grounds are very pretty with many flowers and several areas to sit and relax. It's a small inn, which we love, affordable, and just right for a Santa Barbara vacation. We will be back!

We planned a three-day trip to Santa Barbara near the harbor for my wife’s birthday, and it was a perfect family getaway with a two-year-old. We visited the MOXI Exploration Museum, which had affordable tickets, free entry for children under two, and allowed re-entry throughout the day, making it very kid-friendly. We also spent time at the ocean and aquarium museum on the pier, rented bikes that accommodated our two-year-old (he absolutely loved it), enjoyed some wine tasting, and ate at several great restaurants. Harbor House Inn was wonderful and tied the entire trip together. The room was very spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with a full kitchen, walk-in closet, and high ceilings. It felt more like a stylish Santa Barbara condo than a hotel. The location was ideal, within walking distance to downtown, the train station, and the Funk Zone, with a short drive to the zoo and everything else we wanted to see.

The ultimate warm and cozy place to stay in Santa Barbara. Great location, very close to State Street, food and shops and of course the beach.

I love the convenient location (near the wharf and good restaurants), friendly staff, and ease of parking. The hotel also let us rent out beach cruisers for free.

We got the standard queen room and felt like it was a bit small on space. However, given our short stay, it was cozy enough.

The inn is immaculately maintained! We were in a larger room with a kitchen and found it comfortable and well-equipped - large refrigerator for stocking breakfasts and snacks, microwave and stove for heating things up, coffee maker, tea kettle - everything we needed. Everyone working there is helpful and friendly with great restaurant recommendations. And the location was excellent - a block from the harbor and easy to walk or bike right from the inn. Highly recommended!

What a find! We stayed here on our way to Los Angeles and loved it so much that we booked it again on our trip back to the Bay Area! The rooms were impeccably clean, had comfortable beds and the inn is one block from the beach. I loved that they have a fully stocked garage with everything that you need for a great beach vacation- bikes, boogie boards, lounge chairs, beach towels, etc- all available for free use! The first night we stayed in room 2a which has an enormous jetted jacuzzi tub. They even had lavender bath salts! I am telling all my friends about this place and can’t wait to stay again!

Exceptional! The units are very well equipped. Even the small things have been considered. Staff are very welcoming and helpful.
