Garner Hotel Brookings by IHG

Pool and part of the building was being renovated. Spent a lot of money for a place that didn't even have a working pool. Room was clean but walls were scuffed up and bathroom was very dingy and stained. I know they were renovating but if you book through here you wouldn't know that and no one told us when we called either.

Clean and comfortable, safe area...pool and hot tub not open which is the only reason I chose it and paid so much, too much.

Property was close to the interstate, and was very convenient.

The location is great. The hot breakfast and non-dairy food options were greatly appreciated as well as having 24 hour coffee, tea and hot chocolate options. The remodeling was controlled and only a minor inconvenience that did not disrupt our stay.

The entry sitting area was not welcoming. It may have been due to remodeling and painting. Very awkward and not inviting. The room did not have complimentary paper and pens.

We cancelled a hotel stay in a neighboring city at the last moment due to hotel standards. We called this holiday inn express and they welcomed us with all of our needs. Mara who helped us get checked in was amazing! She definitely a huge help on the phone and in person. The room was clean. Very quiet. Only thing I could complain about would be the tv. Not good. Breakfast was great. I would highly recommend.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. It’s minutes from almost anything in town and easily accessible right off the interstate.

The property is old and not in great shape. The breakfast was fine but not amazing. For the price I expected more.
