"Expensive for horrible MOLD smell"

This hotel has nice sized rooms and decent beds, and a good clean lobby. But the smell of mold in the room is so heavy it will gag you all nite long. Go into the bathroom and look at the ceiling, you can see how they have tried to paint over the black mold. But that has not covered the horrible odor of mold and mildew. In the bedroom area, the ceiling was also poorly painted to cover something up. For the exorbitant prices this hotel charges, they need to gut and clean up the mold before I will give them anymore of my money. I travel 4-5 times a month, am a platinum HIG rewards member and this Brookings HIE is among my top 3 worst hotels of all time. GROSS! I am physically ill from staying in this room.

Well had maybe kinda warm water at night for my friend to take a shower I took a shower in the morning and didn't have any hot water so that really sucked

"Beware of reserving through Booking.com."

Breakfast was great!! Rooms were very clean, Staff was great!

We booked online for a King Room. No standard King was "apparently" available. So we had to take a King room with mobility access. We decided to work with it but bathroom vanity was very small - to accommodate wheel chair access. At about 10:00 pm there was extremely loud noises coming from the next room - which we found out was a mechanical room. It was so loud that we asked to change rooms. So they now gave us a Standard King Room. Why not there at first? That room is so loud it should never be rented out to anyone. I believe this is a Booking.com problem.
