Renaissance Walnut Creek Hotel

Good location and it’s nice that the gym is included with the stay. Not impressed with the equipment at the gym or the overall room as it was outdated and lacked modern conveniences like USB-C ports and adore that closes easily

Ice machine on the third floor was broken. Lack of USB-C ports in the room with outdated yellow striped wallpaper that was heavily marked up.

Great property with excellent facilities!

Lucas at the front desk was professional, helpful and pleasant. We LOVED the outside pool bar and menu options. Our room was nice and clean. Loved the Kevin Michell products in the bathroom. Definitely will be back !

Amenities were great - would stay again anytime

We spent a beautiful June weekend here. The property is located close to the freeway and is easily accessed by car. It is also about 2 blocks from a BART station. The main problem with the property is that it has only one working guest elevator. We were visiting for the wedding of a family friend. Fortunately we were on the second floor so we could walk up and down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator. This was a hassle especially for guests who were on higher floors. We had no idea when or if the elevator would be repaired. There were printed signs on the door of the broken elevator that provided no helpful information. The staff was friendly. The breakfast at the hotel was serviceable but not excellent. The room was standard. The twin beds were ok. The bathroom was fine, nothing special. Our room had only one sink. Whoever owns or manages this place needs to fix the elevator ASAP.

Bay club facility adjacent to the property is amazing

Recently stayed at Renaissance Bay Club in Walnut Creek. The club facilities are cool, including pool and club, but this is a weak hotel * hotel is really a four points / courtyard by Marriott type hotel * dated rooms - 25 year old furniture, etc * clueless staff - as a titanium member they didn’t really know what our benefits were, told us $10 credit per stay, but turns out you need to use a voucher, not auto credited * they never gave us vouchers nor told us this, and after we checked out, told us nothing they can do Basically, the hotel and the staff needs renovating

We really enjoyed Memorial Day weekend at the Renaissance. The room was clean, comfortable and large! Nice, big bathroom. The staff was so friendly and helpful as well. It was surprising that there were no bell staff or valet for cars (although we prefer self-parking), no hosts in restaurant, although wait staff/ manager were available for seating. Food was good. The condition of public areas, especially elevators and 3rd floor elevator lobby, need attention. There are scuff marks on walls and floors.

We arranged for a wedding block at the Renaissance and everyone loved the hotel. The rooms were good, and a very good value, but what was superb was the access to the Bay Club fitness facility and pool. Full gym, basketball, classes, cryo recovery, steam room, hot tubs. The other side of this coin is there is considerable foot traffic through the hotel for the Bay Club, including the busy parking garage. Buffet breakfast was very good, and the bar area had good energy. Blanca helped us with a private event at the bar and was excellent. I would stay again if in the area.
