Stardust Motel Redding

Bugs, hair on the sheets and on the toilet. Filthy, probably filled with transients. Did not stay at this hotel and advise all to stay away from it!!

I just wanted to stay for one night and then be on my way. We were surprised when we saw how big and comfortable the room was.

That is the worst place I ever stayed. And I was all over the world, and I roughing it sometimes. Downtown, fire station, the room stinks, so is the bed. A filled in swimming pool, with old mattresses, ugly, ugly, ugly. I can't believe the authorities don't close it down. I hate to write this bad review, but they also charged over $100 plus tax. The owner was nice, but that's the only pleasant thing here. It's a total nightmare.

It was the most terrible experience ever 1) when we came in there was Cockroach army in the corner of the room . 2) the air conditioner did not work 3) BED BUGS STARTED TO CLIME WHEN WE STARTED TO FELL ASLEEP. we where super tired and wanted to just sleep because we where driving for a long time, but it turns out that we didn't sleep an where miserable . Room nuber 18 . I think this place should not be on website at all !!!!!!!!!!!

Traveling for ten days now already and this was easily the cleanest room I rented so far. No refrigerator in the room though. Very friendly and chatty owner. There may have been some shady people around but I didn't notice them more than at places of similar inexpensiveness and they have to be somewhere right. All in all I liked the style of it.

There were bugs in the room, no alarm clock, and they never called me for my wake-up call.

Draw backs are fee for remote and wifi. Security at night was nice. Staff was very kind and friendly.

If you want last minute cheap accommodation for Shasta trip this is not a bad choice.

Me and my wife uncovered bugs in the room at night when we are about to go to bed. There are big and small ones, visible on the wall and bed. Smell of dog when we stepped into the room. We informed the office immediately and rush to switch out the another room at night. Body feels itchy and terrible experience.

Checked into room and did a bed inspection and immediately saw a bed bug when I ran out the door the guys from the office were standing outside and asked how the room was. I explained that I will not be staying fur to the fact I saw bugs on the mattress. The guy played dumb and offered a room next door and I requested my money back. They did provide a refund and said they will look "maybe tomorrow" for the bugs.
