Stardust Motel Redding

Horrible.

We stayed in a ground floor room for a few nights over the summer. The owner was very friendly. It's a family owned business, and he was great about being flexible with us on our checkout time. Since we'd been staying in the cheapest rooms we could find in each city we stopped at from Vancouver, WA going south, we didn't expect a whole lot. This place was the cleanest and most comfortable out of the places we stayed. We'd stay here again, and recommend it to any travelers who need a good deal.

Room wasn't clean. There was mold and mildew on the walls. Towels and bedding had stains and were worn. I would have rather stayed in my car than spend the night at this place. Trust me, there are other options in town!

The room was so-so. About what I expect from the lowest price choice. But the room I booked was advertised as having a shower OR tub. Mine only had a shower. When I went to see if I could get a room with a tub I was told it would be more. The advertising needs to change. Also, I couldn't figure out the A/C for the longest time. It's very hot in Redding. I finally found it way high up a window behind an alcove. I was able to stand on my camp chair that I brought along to turn it on high. A little strange. I don't know that I'd do this one again. There are other choices.

Needed room, they had one available. AC was off when I arrived, ~100 degrees in room, noisy old AC unit slowly cooled room while I slept.

Nice staff, but very run down and in rough part of town

The gentlemen who were working in the office were very kind and helpful. The room was the fanciest, but it was very clean and I was comfortable. The AC worked great.

Clean, friendly, affordable.

Our stay was very uncomfortable. There were drug deals on one side of the hotel, the pool was in shambles, the room not tidy and the cost way too high for a restless nights sleep. Would NOT recommend it. Very disappointed that Hotels.com would give this hotel a 3 star rating!

I spent 2 months travelling around america and this was by far my worst stay. The service was terrible, there was absolutely no flexibility to check in and out hours even when i offered to pay more. There was no wifi in my room. The only reason i stayed here in the first place is because they said they had free wifi in every room. They wouldnt hold my bags fo me after i checked out. There were stains on everything in my room, the fridge didn't work. The only good thing is that there was a starbucks close by
