Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Winchester by IHG

They were great. It was clean and safe. gas station right next door. grocery right down the street, close location to Winchester medical center. The staff were attentive and responsive.

Proximity to highway is negative & positve , not unique to roadside locations. Hotel is perfectly clean and suitable , just loud for light sleepers.

This is one of the hotel chain’s older hotels—everything was in working order, and it met the basic needs, but it was definitely lacking. The breakfast items were not fresh at all, the bedding was soiled on one of the beds, there was a terrible cleaner scent in the hallway.

Called ahead to make the reservation while driving thru to Ohio. Teri was our desk guru and had local knowledge and an attitude of customer service that was flawless. Amenable and ready to step beyond normal customer needs -wants- and desires to ensure our stay was fantastic

We loved our stay. The staff was wonderful and beds were comfortable.

We have stayed at this hotel in 2018, 2019 and they past week. Me and my family stayed here and booked two suites for the last week in March for 6 days. The pros : swimming pool was good, conveniently located, the morning breakfast options and to go bags very helpful. Cons: the staff for the evening shift (after 5) was not friendly at all, and at times just basic greetings and interactions were met with lots of attitude. House keeping never came to our rooms once. I had to request and pick up my own toilet paper, towels, and empty my own trash cans. Our family members room was cleaned once and they made the bed with sheets that had stains all over them. When my family member brought the sheet down to the evening staff the staff member got defensive saying she didn't know who cleaned the room and just handed my family member another sheet and when back to the back office. The room itself was barely cleaned when we check in, the toilet seat was broken, mold stains on the ceiling, and hair all over the room. The attention and care has significantly gone down hill and this will be our last time staying here.

The location was great and convenient. We were surprised by the dirty room conditions. The pull out sofa bed was covered in washed blood stains and other dirty stains, so it was unusable. There was a pile of hair on the bathroom floor, the tissue box was empty but left on the counter, there were used bandaids laying around the pool area, etc. I witnessed two front desk employees swearing back and forth at each other (at first I thought they were joking, but when one looked at me and said "I'm not helping you then" (the vending machine ate $ and one employee was helping me with it) after her confrontation with the other employee, I realized they were serious. The breakfast was good. Overall, the experience was not one I expect from a hotel chain I stay at frequently. I would have tried a different hotel in the area if I knew what I was going to get.

The hotel is convenient to the highway and is not too far from the old town. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. And, the room was very clean. Breakfast was standard fare for accommodations like this. They did have biscuits and gravy which was nice.

Easy check in. Foam in the hot tub, so much foam ît went over the edge of the hot tub. The chlorine levels were so high that I began to choke and had to leave the pool room.
