Absolutely loved our stay! It has such charming atmosphere and characteristics to the house. The jetted tub was amazing and water was surprisingly hot soon as I turned it on. Breakfast was hands down amazing with a beautiful view of the landscape and sunrise. Definitely a nice break from normal hotels and it had such a home like vibe. We also think this place is a potential wedding venue for us! Of course it had its quirks but honestly for how old it wasn’t bad! Also loved that it’s self checkin and how convenient that it was placed out for whenever you check in!

Excellent experience. The proprietor, Harry, is a great guys and strives to make your stay very comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was awesome with plenty of variety. Make sure you mention either a hot tub Jacuzzi or a deep soaking tube. Their is a difference.

The room fit my needs for one night .

If you appreciate historical integrity, this old manor house is a must stay! We had the pleasure of touring this wonderful home filled with stained glass and charm everywhere! You really had the feeling of "borrowing" this house for a couple days, between the cozy sitting areas (complete with plenty of reading material!) woodwork and artwork everywhere, it was a tour in itself. We were in the Philadelphia room and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it! Between the beautiful décor (stained glass in the BATHROOM!) jacuzzi tub and fireplace, it was possibly the best room in the house! The only thing that made it worth leaving the room was the wonderful B&Breakfast - complete with waffle maker! The small private trails along the water were perfect for a morning walk after a fulfilling breakfast.

Disappointing stay. I contacted weeks ahead of time to let them know that our one night stay was our honeymoon, and said if they could put any extra care into making the room special for us, we would really really appreciate it. (Btw the room we booked was the fanciest, most expensive room they offer- the Longwood suite). I figured maybe they would leave a lil bottle of champagne or a note or rose petals (like the multiple photos they advertise of those things). Not only did they not do anything at all to make the room or stay special in any way shape or form, they didn’t even clean it. Dead bugs everywhere. Brown stuff splattered on the walls, doors, and window blinds. Mold on the floors. Multiple light bulbs out. The bath water is literally urine yellow- but they left a note that says to ignore the “tea colored” water, and that people pay extra money to have “mineral” baths like that. Plus there are NO employees or staff there to greet you or explain how to find your room. It’s all self service (a random guest had to help us). I usually appreciate contact free things as a major introvert- but the lack of any kind of personal attention or care during the stay was really disappointing.
