"Returning guests"

10.0

This was our 6th visit to the hotel since 2018 with Covid preventing a continuous 8 years. We liked the refurbishment to the rooms. They’re lighter with the pastel colours, and the touch controls for the air conditioning easy to use. And I must say the air conditioning is much better than it used to be! Bathroom is lovely with a walk in shower. The room is cleaned every day with towels replaced. We were all inclusive so here’s my first negative comment. There’s a ‘mini bar’ in the room, it isn’t a mini bar it’s a fridge as there’s nothing in it! We used it to keep bottles of water in that we brought from the bar. Restaurant : We never complain about the food, there’s something there for everyone, if you can’t find something you like then you must be extremely fussy! Glad to see the rule has been waived where men had to wear long trousers in the winter months, a long time coming and the right decision! A tip. If you’re a tea drinker then take your own tea bags, that’s all I’ll say! Pool area: Tons of sun beds, in fact too many for my liking as they’re packed together. Great to see the ‘pool police’ doing their rounds in the morning and removing towels and belongings of those who reserve sun beds then go off for breakfast! Heated pool is excellent and a cold water pool if you like that sort of thing. Nice to relax around the pool bar where the food is nice too. Entertainment: We like the entertainment in general. The ABBA tribute was excellent and the irrepressible Johnny Circus was excellent as usual. I must admit some of the singers who entertain after the main event are pub singers to say the least! Some management suggestions: Please bring back the water dispenser you always had near reception check in. It was always nice to have a cold drink of water on arrival after a long journey. You also had bottles of Cava there too! The main bar area on evening entertainment: We often found it difficult to get the waiters attention having to wave our arms in the air to get a drink! The waiters seemed to wander everywhere, would it not be best to give them ‘zones’ to look after? Additionally the tables are all 4 seats, so during entertainment there were numerous seats unavailable because people are reluctant to sit with people they don’t know. All in all another excellent holiday in a lovely hotel

"Nice hotel"

10.0

Lovely hotel. Stayed bed and breakfast. Breakfast excellent choice. Room lovely. Kept spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend booking room with pool view as ours looked onto road so not pleasant to sit out. Adult only pool area nice but pool not heated so only went in once. One of the other pools was heated though so spent most of our time in there. Plenty of sun beds. Staff all really nice. About 20 minutes walk to beach where there are plenty of places to eat. Would recommend a stay here

"Customer service and security dreadful"

2.0

We had to experience a guy who was not a guest masterbate in front of us Called security took to long to get here by the time they came the guy had gone . Security was diabolical loads of non guests using the pool and coming in for free breakfast because none of the staff check who’s coming in . I did feed this back and there are now staff checking at breakfast but his has been going in for years . I had to ring down everyday for tea and coffee and water to be refreshed in our room this is just standard service in most hotels I’ve stayed in . We did get a free meal in the Al La carte restaurant as an apology but I really feel this don’t go far enough to resolve my complaints it completely ruined my holiday . We have coming to this hotel for over 15 years and are Good members but we weren’t made to feel special at all it had a concerns addressed my self and 8 others have vowed never to return to this hotel again . Dreadful security and appalling customer service .

Heated pool could be warmer. We stayed in Feb and pool temperature was just sufficient to do a short dip. I couldn't stay there for a long time. This is the only thing could be improved or indoor pool for familys will kids

"An Excellent Place to Stay"

10.0

This hotel and its staff are excellent. We have just returned from an 11 day stay and could not fault it. From checking in at reception until we left, nothing was too much trouble. We had a side sea view room which was very large, comfortable and well equipped and very clean. At breakfast the choice was immense and freshly cooked if you wanted it. The service throughout the hotel was first rate. The facilities were also excellent and I cannot speak too highly of the hotel and its staff. The 5 stars are well deserved.

"A wonderful stay!"

10.0

What a beautiful hotel! This was our first stay at GF Gran Costa Adeje, and it was certainly one to remember. We travelled with our 7 year old and 6 month old, and we were well looked after from the start. All of the staff were very polite, welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Our luggage was taken on arrival and delivered straight to our room. We were also provided with an electronic steriliser on enquiring, and this was promptly delivered making our stay even more comfortable and hassle free. The hotel was spotless and well maintained. Our room was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay, including a cot. We stayed half board, and I must admit, after reading mixed reviews about the food, we were pleasantly surprised. We couldn't fault the food at all - there was always plenty of choice for both us and our son, and there were always soups or purees available for the baby (we were also told on check in about a bespoke menu for babies ,on request, where puree or soups could be prepared in advance). The pools were great, with two heated (including the baby pool). The outdoor bar areas were clean with a good selection of food and drink, and the staff were great. There was a lovely splash park for the children around the back of the hotel, along with water slides, which were a massive hit with our 7 year old. There was also a smaller bar here which served a selection of food and drink. The no reserving of sun beds was an added bonus, which meant we had no trouble finding space around the pools. There was a good variety of entertainment during our stay, including daytime activities and evening shows. The hotel is within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants, and is only a short walk down to the beach. Everything was easily accessible. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will certainly be visiting again in the future!
