"If your kids like football...dont expect them to play here"

2.0

If your kids, like mine are footy mad amd love to play football between dipping in the pool...this isnt the hotel for you. The system the hotel has on being able to book the football pitch out for an hour is a joke... They dont turn up and reception wont release the key, so nobody can play at all. Even if they do turn up...one kid is playing in the pitch by himself and about 10 kids watching from outside. All other hotels nearby have football open to all.

"Very Good"

7.0

"Nice 3 - 4 star hotel"

8.0

Just back from a week in Tenerife, staying at the GF Gran Costa Adeje. Location-wise, it's a little further along the coast than the big mass of tourist hotels and seems to mostly attract families with small kids and older couples. In other words, not a party hotel (thankfully) and throughout our stay it was always fairly calm, quiet and pleasant. The ambience is pretty upmarket and we were all impressed by the high standard of our rooms, including the cleanliness. The beds are enormous and the bathrooms had the most fantastic showers. Also, the staff were unfailingly polite, pleasant and helpful. It seems to have entertainment on every night and what we saw of this was pretty good. A bit 1960's and '70's, including an Abba tribute act, pitched, I guess, to suit the age of the clientele. The food options are however limited. There's a rooftop bar that does burgers and chips etc, and I think the ground floor bar does cakes, but there's only one restaurant. This is a huge self-service buffet style cafeteria and I do mean cafeteria. We were on B&B so had all of our breakfast there, and we also paid for the buffet on our first and last nights. PAYG is a bit pricey at 35 euros per person but it's hard to find anything better at that price locally. There is quite a good selection of food and, bearing in mind that this is mass catering for 100's of guests simultaneously, the quality is fairly decent. I know this is petty detail but I was really happy that the rolling toasters were set up well for breakfast! So often they are disfunctional and I do like my toast! The cafeteria itself is a bit soulless. It's a place for food, not a dining experience and would benefit from a soft furnishing and decor makeover. A few plants, soft lighting, maybe carpeting etc. There were a couple of minor negatives for us: our TV lost the english channels and kept turning itself back on, so we had to unplug it; our room safe kept forgetting our code and locked us out (I expect this is a dying battery). The response time for both issues was quite poor - it took 2 or 3 days to get the tv fixed, and 6 or 7 hours to get someone to come up and unlock the safe (a 30 second job). I wouldn't class it as 5 star, probably more like 3+; leastways, the level of facilities at the 4 star well-known brand name resort we used in Lanzarote last year were measurably higher. However, on the whole, we thought this was a pretty good hotel and probably a little better than we were expecting from a discounted package holiday deal.

"On a whole a good hotel"

8.0

Overall the hotel is good but I would say I have stayed at better 5 star hotels. The drink options for all inclusive are very limited, no à la carte restaurants at all, dinner does not open until 6.30 and with an 8 month old baby is becomes extremely hard to keep them awake to eat at this time. You cannot fault any of the staff though, extremely helpful, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile.

"Fantastic from start to finish"

10.0

GF Gran Costa Adeje is a fantastic hotel and in a great location. Our room was perfect and had everything we needed, house keeping were great and always left the room like we had just checked in. The staff on reception and in the restaurants were all lovely and always made us feel welcome. Our little boy who is 4 really enjoyed the kids activities and the staff in the kids club were 5*. Bruno is a real asset to the hotel and was a strong favourite. We will definitely be back.

"Expensive 5 star with the 5 star facilities."

5.0

Location is great. Staff friendly.

The spa is closed. This is not detailed anywhere you find out when you pay on arrival. A close hotel is available to use at a discounted rate. You can’t have a pool view unless you book a superior room this is not explained anywhere. There is renovations going on so there is noise at the pool daily.
