Hotel Ajanta

The hotel room is nit clean and full of flies. Nobody cares to clean the room in three days of my stay. Tbe lady on the front desk was very good and she deserves to be in a better hitel.

The toilet didn’t work and conditioning wasn’t working correctly the hotel put tapwater into bottles and then charged people

I lived staying at the Ajanta! As an older hotel, it provides you with the colonial architecture built by the British, but updated to the 3.5 star status. The staff was excellent, although English was occasionally an issue. Of course , the room was small with it being old architecture, but would be also adequate for two if you didn’t need to lay out large suitcases. I laid out mine on half the bed and my carryon on a small table provided, still leaving me the tea table. English programming on the television, a place to store luggage for when you take side trips (like to the Taj Mahal), shower head AND bucket for bathing, small cupboard for hanging clothes. This was the perfect place for me. I booked with an airport pickup and since I came in by train, they exchanged his for a transfer sat the end of my stay. The restaurant is good, but charges cannot be put on your room. Breakfasts are great. Room service is available, I think, as there was a menu in my room. Tea and coffee provided to make in your room, but water and snacks in the room are extra, which I ate gratefully. The location is just across and down from a gate to the New Delhi train station, so convenient for booking side trips to Agra or Shimla or wherever. Also, you are very close to Old Delhi, which saves you on travel time in this large congested city. I will stay here again when I return to Delhi and India, in the coming years. Thank you 🙏. M

Excellent superior room and restaurant food. Staff very helpful.

The room was clean enough, but The room was so loud. All you could hear was honking and people yelling outside, in addition to people yelling inside. There were little bugs in the bathroom.

Good base for visit to Delhi. Hotel staff was helpful in arranging airport transfers and excursions, although we were disappointed about the car we received-- we thought we booked a 4 by 4 with our driver to Agra, but received a much smaller car. Driver and guide were great, though. It was nice to have a hotel that could arrange competent personnel for us.

We spent only one night here waiting to fly out of India after a month. Hotel is better in reality than it shows on website, but had to turn down one of the two rooms due to filthy mattress, so got another room. Bad service in the attached restaurant waiting over 45 minutes for omelette, that arrived cold. When asked for another, they re-heated the same one with the bite out of it. However, front desk staff Ganjun was great and went above and beyond providing us with free transportation to the airport. Bell boys well intentioned and pleasant but very slow off the mark, taking 20 minutes to bring luggage down to waiting car. Hey, it's India. Check out rooms with balconies as they seemed MUCH better than ours with no windows.

The only woman who worked on the staff was excellent !!!

The staff really tried to help with translating destinations into Hindi, getting drivers and rides, letting me use their phone and computer, etc, They are remodeling all the rooms, so I had a really lovely room.

Staff was very nice and polite! I was treated great! Also tourist team was absolutely awesome!! Definitely will be staying here next time!! Thank you for all.
