ibis Dunkerque Centre

Good location for walking to city centre restaurants and sights.

Enjoyed the convenience

The room was small but functional. It lacked a safe, but had a generous sized shower. The breakfast was great if a little noisy.

The hotel is everything which we have come to expect from Ibis, having stayed at several. My only complaint is that when we booked it online, it stated that there was free parking. When we arrived, there was no on-street parking to be had near the hotel and so I was asked a further 10 Euro for parking. It should be made more clear in the hotel's information for visitors that LIMITED parking is available freely on-street, but there is a charge for garage parking. We have a nice evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfast was fine.

But despite the headline friendly, helpful staff and it's all a fair price. They'd have to spend a lot to improve it and for one night it's fine as it is.

The room was tiny. No Air-con, so an open window was needed in summer but that meant we were disturbed by very noisy seagulls, all night!

Parking garage was full but was easily able to find street parking. Room was very nice and in a good location

The room was very small and very noisy. The noise came from the birds outside. Because it was so hot, we had to keep the window open, but if you could close the window it would have been fine. Otherwise it was a great place, very clean and very affordable.

We arrived early and they were still able to check us in. There wasn't any air conditioning but at least we could open the windows. The room was comfortable and the shower was terrific. I would stay there again.

Ideal spot in Dunkirk. Parking was not available in the garage (not sure why) as it was claimed to be full but the hotel was not busy. Parking on roads surrounding if you can find a space. Breakfast ok, didn’t try the restaurant. WiFi free and works ok for emails etc.
