Hôtel Sainte-Anne

We were extremely happy with our experience at Hotel Sainte-Anne. The location is bery convenient to anything you want to see in Quebec City. Plenty of restaurant within an easy walking distance, very near the Funicular and all the shops in that area. It is near the water and other site seeing areas. The front desk agents were very helpful and courteous. We arrived very early so our room was not ready but they graciously stored our luggage so we could tour the area and when we returned, our bags had been delivered to our room and set up on racks for our convenience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Quebec City. Thank you for your service.

Beautiful rooms and friendly staff. There were no openings in the dining room for our group but they accommodated us outside. Centrally located to everything.

I chose this hotel as it was one of the very few available for less than $350 (CAD) per night, booking at such late notice. We did enjoy this hotel and it's style but there were a couple of things they could do to make it far better. The best part about the hotel no doubt, is it's location! It is just 50m away from the park which looks straight onto the Chateau Frontenac, just a mere 2 minute walk and you are on the Chateau boardwalk. The hotel desk (there is no lobby) is just next to a restaurant. All the staff manning the desk were very helpful and friendly and they allowed me to reduce my stay by one night when our flights had to be moved, which I am so grateful for. In addition to their location, another major plus about this hotel is that there is a lift (which not many in the old town seem to have)...good thing because we were on the 4th floor! The room was small but big enough for just the 2 of us and it had lovely decor, very nicely presented, it had a quaint charm about it. The bathroom was very small but had a glamourous feel. The shower pressure was very low, however I found that was the case in all 6 hotels we stayed in Canada so perhaps that is just the case throughout all of Canada. Make sure you are out of the room before late morning if you want it cleaned. There was a note on the lift saying to be out of the room by midday if you wanted the room cleaned as maids only there until 1pm. We ensured we put our note on the door and left our room by 11.30am but unfortunately it was not cleaned when we returned. The things I would suggest to improve are: 1. Have power points next to the beds. The only place we could charge our phones were by reaching down to the floor under the desk (which was hard on my arthritic knees) and under the ironing board on the other side of the room. Therefore our phones were not next to us as we slept as they needed charging for the next day. 2. A telephone in the room would be helpful so that we could call down to reception if we had any questions. Each time we had to talk to reception about something, we had to actually go downstairs to see them. 3. Have a safe in the room. I looked and could not find one which I found odd since not many 4* hotels do not have safes. I would not have stayed in this hotel had I not realised before.

Excellent location, walkable to everything in the old city. If you're driving, the city hall parking garage is right around the corner. This is a busy spot, but our room was surprisingly quiet. Bathroom could use a good cleaning and the ac unit is really old/not working very well. This was our 4th visit to Quebec City so we've stayed in a few other area hotels. This one is alright, but isn't anything special.

Was an amazing location within walking distance to the main sites and tours. Your Uber/taxi driver will have to drop you off a little down the street, no cars in front of hotel. Nice, modern with comfortable bed and outside charm

Your front office staff Christian was amazing ! Efficient and very helpful. We loved the hotel itself even tho the room is a little snug. We understand it’s part of the charm of staying in old Quebec ! Location of this hotel is unbeatable. We wud recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone going to Quebec City.
