Atlantic Palace Hotel

Overall we had a good stay at the hotel but there are good and bad points! Rooms - are very spacious with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom (double shower). We had a large balcony which, unfortunately, just looked over the car park and delivery area of the hotel. Noisy. Centrally controlled aircon was noisy and not to everyone’s requirements. Meals & Drinks - drinks are expensive (London prices). Meals are a mix of a la carte and buffet. They were OK but breakfasts were boring - literally the same every day. Drinks are all billed to your room so you cannot keep track of what you pay (pay before you leave). Shuttle bus - is very useful and we didn’t pay for buses etc once so was good. Additional charge after 8pm but was ok with that. Staff - tui staff are all very nice and helpful. Hotel staff are OK but nothing spectacular. I never really felt like they valued our visit. Sunset bar - was never open and all furniture left out during rain storms so was wet even a couple of days later! Hot tubs - not working. I planned to paint a balanced picture but there is nothing bad about this hotel. It was good as a base but we used the local shop for lunches regularly and shopped there and Sorrento supermarkets (carrefour) for booze and water for the room rather than pay bar prices. It would have been nice to have a better balcony but, in fairness, we didn’t spend that much time in the room itself! I don’t know if it was just in September but it almost felt like the hotel was being wound down for the winter. Like I say, nothing bad, just mediocre. We had a fantastic holiday but were out and about most days!!

Room was spotless, decent size and had everything you could need. Beds were comfortable and balcony was of a good size. Service was impeccable, staff couldn’t have been nicer. Location of the hotel is the only downside for us, there is a free shuttle bus at certain times throughout the day and night (€2pp) which is prompt and useful however it is around 30 mins brisk walk from the centre and a taxi is around €30! If you are happy to walk or get the bus, which you have to pre book, then this location would be ideal. As much as this hotel is adult only, I would definitely say it caters for more adults over the age of 50. Overall a nice hotel and lovely staff

It was really decent breakfast

They have rooms in the main building and annex rooms as a separate building! be aware of it. Our room was 510 in “annex building”. Whole night I was listening some sounds made by swimming pool pipes. There wasn’t electricity in our room and the staff couldn’t handle it fast.

El desayuno excelente! Super completo y variado! El personal un 10 Gloria una genia qué nos orientó siempre! Está bastante alejado del centro, pero cuenta con servicios de combis qué tienen horarios de ida y de vuelta, eso facilita el traslado si vas sin vehículo

Shuttle bus should have been every hour as taxis cost €30 for a one way trip. Advertised for a big balcony and we got a small one in another part of the hotel

Really disappointed. We booked through TUI as a wedding package hotel. But there was nothing special about our stay. Not one of the staff knew we were getting married yet they celebrated guests birthdays. We expected it to be a hotel that specialised in wedding holidays. Just a standard hotel nowhere near a four star in the middle of nowhere. The jacuzzi’s were not in use nor was the sunset terrace. Some staff were welcoming food was satisfactory. Just very let down by the whole experience. I would not recommend booking your wedding through TUI but to do it yourself in the end we ended up sourcing our own reception as we were mislead with that as well. Italy is lovely and there is so much better accommodation to stay in. Knowing what we know now we could have had such a better experience. Will not use TUI again for any future holidays.

It’s with great sadness that I’m having to write such a disappointing review. Something I never usually have to do. But I have to share our experiences to avoid anyone else having to go through what we did. We booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon. The worst decision we made. Firstly this hotel is NOT a 4* it’s a 3 at the very most. Upon arrival the room that we had booked was an upgrade which we paid for, when we opened the door the room stank of stale cigarettes, the floors were filthy and we had no use of our shower for 2 days due to it being broken. No apology for this or any compensation. When they came to fix it, then left mucky shoe/boot marks on the towels from where they were mopping up the water. The woman on reception was rude and had absolutely no care in the world for anything. The pool area and the outdoor terrace is a complete scam. It looks nothing like the photos. Again it was untidy, dirty and things were dated and broken, parts of the actual building were rotting away. Also the garden jacuzzis were closed yet we’re here in September in beautiful weather, they said it closes in October. No excuses really for this. They offered a free shuttle service to and from the city centre and this didn’t turn up for us on one evening. And then said it was 4 euros on an evening and not free. The breakfast was ok, very basic and the same every morning with dry pastries and the floor of the restaurant was disgustingly dirty. Like it hadn’t been cleaned from the night before. The only Positive of this is the staff were friendly at breakfast. Not good enough for the amount we paid. No one should ever have to experience this, especially when it was such a special trip for us. TUI I’m appalled at the state of this hotel for your standards.
