Gosby House Inn, A Four Sisters Inn

Staff were really lovely, helpful and very kindly upgraded us & the location is perfect. Beautiful little town & the exterior of the building itself is gorgeous. so impressive. We did feel that it needs a little overhaul, we have stayed in similar properties with that old style character but the rooms just need a little lift and to nail down those fine details that bring you return custom.Breakfast was extremely basic and definitely wouldn’t pay for it going forward.

Breakfast Interiors

We had a great stay at this beautiful inn. The inn is in a perfect location, only a few short blocks from Monterey Bay. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Staff were helpful and friendly, the room (Laporte) was quiet, comfortable, and had an attractive, private outdoor seating area. The provided breakfasts were wonderful, as was the evening wine and cheese reception. Street parking in front of the inn was always available. The complimentary bicycle was in great shape with the gears and brakes working smoothly. We would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to be able to revisit this spectacularly beautiful area.

Beautiful property very well kept

Our room was particularly warm compared to the rest of the house. The place didn’t have AC which was fine but ‘The Flora’ which was where we stayed felt like the heater was on. You could feel the immediate change in temperature as soon as you walked out. The water pressure in the shower is poor. There was also construction happening while we were there and the electricity went completely out for a few hours. We had pretty much no warning except to ask where we parked

We would have picked a bigger room next time as it was fairly compact once we had our cases in the room.

Our single-night stay at the historic Gosby House Inn was truly memorable. Although our room, The Alec, was tiny it was exceptionally comfortable. The shared living areas downstairs offered a welcome sense of space and were perfect for relaxing. The inn's complimentary wine and cheese reception was a delightful way to begin our visit. The staff were both friendly and attentive, and the inn's prime location made exploring Pacific Grove wonderfully convenient. Street parking was readily available.

We wished we stayed longer.

This was one of the highlight hotel stays of our California trip! It’s a beautiful building located right in Pacific Grove, just outside the main town of Monterey! Staff were all super friendly and helpful and the breakfast, wine hour a free bike rental were all amazing touches that added to a memorable stay! I would definitely recommend staying here without a doubt, our room was bijou (The Alec), but we knew that when booking, however, they have much larger rooms; it was small but perfectly formed, and a comfortable nights stay.
