"DIRTY AND NOT UPDATED"

DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES. Feels like a Motel 6. From the parking lot to the room, NOTHING is maintained on this property. This is THE WORST WYNDHAM PROPERTY we have ever been to. The room was so dirty that I spent $50 having Walmart deliver cleaning supplies so I could clean the room myself. Instead of taking a nap after we checked in, I spent my first moments stripping the bed, washing the linens, and making a delivery order. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR POINTS!!! The ONLY positive thing is the location. It’s in the heart of Newport walking distance to everything. But the uncleanliness and the layout of our room made it an unpleasant stay. If this property was updated PROPERLY, it could be nice.

"Noise and no sleep!"

Cleanliness was good. Front desk mediocre. My expensive accommodations were on second floor directly above a bar with loud music. Although I had earplugs sleep was impossible until after bar closed at 1am. Three nights without quiet for sleep was simply my worst experience with accommodations ever!

We had a wonderful couple of days in Newport. This location is perfect! A short drive to the beach and so close to great restaurants and shopping. We had a one bedroom, small kitchenette with a full size refrigerator and small freezer. We had breakfast in the room and packed sandwiches for the beach. Fun little bar downstairs- looks a bit divey but drinks and service excellent and outdoor seating overlooks harbor. View from from room was beautiful and rooftop deck is nice for morning coffee and a sunset drink. Parking was tight but we always had a spot in downstairs garage.

Great location - loved having Smugglers on the ground floor - just wish they would have done brunch or breakfast.

Before arriving I asked about some amenities because I recently had surgery that makes getting around a little difficult - I was told a non-slip mat for the shower (they have grab bars in lieu of a seat) and a toilet riser would be put in the bathroom for us but neither was there upon check-in.

"Don’t book this hotel"

I reserved 2 rooms in this hotel in September for a wedding and in June our reservations were canceled on us. Apparently, the hotel said they were overbooked after we had already been confirmed. I hear this is a common occurrence at this hotel
