Club Wyndham Inn on the Harbor

Loved the room, the amenities, location, and especially the harbor view. I regret that I didn't call ahead to make sure the sofa-bed was made up. Biggest problem was trying to find where to check in!! Seriously, this was not easy. No signage anywhere, and the check-in area was so insignificant, again with no signage, that I didn't know I'd found it. There was nobody there!

Loved this unit. Great room layout. Very clean and well equipped. I’d say actually nicer in real life. Rooftop deck has been painted since. Beautiful views. Good building facilities. Would recommend

The location.

I booked and paid for the room more than a month in advance, and confirmed my reservation a week in advance, but when I arrived on the morning of the reservation, my room had been given away to a timeshare owner. They never even called me to let me know! I had to scramble to find a new hotel at the last minute, and then I spent over an hour on phone calls to get refunded. The reservation was non-refundable on my end, but apparently they can cancel freely without notice.

I would not recommend this property for several reasons... -One elevator. Went down twice on a weekend getaway and on checkout day. Poor response time on repair and no offer of assistance with luggage...and I have a heart condition. Room on sixth floor. - Marijuana was def being used on our floor and infiltrated our room. - Don't like beds next to suite door on main hallway. Opening under door was large and cannot see meeting fire code. Noise from floor came through walls. -Bar on ground floor of hotel was loud at 2 am. If you're into that sort of thing, great spot. Not us. -Manager offered credit for a nights stay but never saw it. Not going back...period. Plenty of other locations along Themes Street.

Everything about this resort is enjoyable. Easy walking to some of the best food in Newport. It has topnotch staff who provide for guests. Free laundry machines are available on the third floor - the sixth floor has a balcony with beautiful views and afternoon relaxation.

Great location to walk or bicycle to many restaurants, shops, or activities. Very clean, well maintained room with updated kitchen & appliances/cookware. They provided coffee & filters for the week, as well as having brewed coffee, juices, snack bars in the lobby daily. Gave a nice Mother’s Day gift & rose upon arrival. Friendly staff & provided a helpful restaurant list. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the rooftop deck overlooking the harbor.

Under what did you like I would check every one, especially location by the water and Thames St. In addition, when we had car trouble, the hotel mechanic went out of his way to crawl under the car and diagnose the problem for us.

I actually booked a different property and was informed shortly before the trip that that property was no longer available and we were switched to this one. So although I booked a 1500 square-foot place with a full kitchen, our own laundry and two private balconies, I ended up with two small one bedrooms. We made the most of it, but it was not ideal for our group. I really did like the observation deck on the upper level, but unfortunately it closed early. One night we wanted to use it with the group and no one had told us about that. The parking is a big challenge at this property, but the staff is pretty good about reimbursing you if you have to park at the City lot when their lot is full. The laundry room, although communal is a good one and the water machine in there is excellent. The snacks in the morning and the wine and cheese the night we arrived were a nice touch. The staff is always caring and friendly.

The shower had a water saver on it. You had to chase the water to get wet.
