Chisun Hotel Utsunomiya

It was fine, handy for the station so i could go to Nikko for the day (less than one hour by train). Friendly staff, did the job but nothing special

We wanted to visit Nikko but the hotels there are relatively expensive. Nikko is less than one hour from Utsunomiya so we decided to stay here instead. The Chisun Hotel is located across the street from the train station. It is very convenient to get in and out. There are plenty of restaurants in the train station. There is also a large supermarket in the basement level.

Was travelling with my wife and the mother in law and we got 2 rooms, both were clean and were no issues. They gave us a much bigger room than we booked they said, but it was their mistake and their didn't take it away from us once the found out at check-in. The hotel simply couldn't be any more conveniently located. It is right across the street from the train station. Cross the street and you are in the lobby of the hotel. There is a ton of gioza restaurants nearby for food as well as Lawson across the street. We spend just one night there but had 0 issues and were very please since the hotel was so cheap, so conveniently located, and we didn't have any issues as well.

I stayed for one night to go to Nikko. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Utsunomiya Station so it's convenient if you are going to Utsunomiya directly from Narita Airport. The hotel staff are quite friendly and the room (single) is relatively good. The only issue is that the hotel uses LAN rather than Wifi so you may need to do tethering from your laptop. I cannot comment on language issue as I communicated with the staff in Japanese so I do not know whether there will be a language barrier with English. This hotel is convenient if you are using JR lines. If you are using Tobu line, the station is about a 15-20 minute walk from this hotel.

nice location, close to the JR station and local bus service

The Chisun Utsunomiya is directly across the street from the Utsunomiya JR Station. It is very easy to access and had good restaurants nearby including McDonalds. We chose a hotel in Utsunomiya so that we could easily board the train to Nikko in the morning. Everything worked out just as planned.

Hotel very convenient to Utsunomiya Train Station and local 'Gyoza' restaurants. Room was clean and hotel staff very courteous.

Friendly staff who speaks English. Clean rooms with comfortable beds and pillow. Located next to train and bus station. Recommend it and will most likely stay there again.
