BlueBay Lanzarote

Visited for 5 days in late January 2026. A great hotel with amazing staff. Reception area - really clean and easy to check in. Room - So yeah they look a bit dated but let's be honest, how much time do you spend in the room? Rooms were massive, with a hob, small kettle, fridge and a TV that only has Spanish channels and Spanish subtitles. Our settee was a bit dated as was the curtains. The bed was fine albeit a bit soft. We had room D306 which had a balcony looking out the back of the hotel and 'sea view.' No noise either. Shower was powerful. Towels changed every 3 days which didn't bother us. Our 3rd day was a Wednesday (which cleaning staff don't work) however they still changed our towels. Restaurant and Snack bar - Always plenty of food. Breakfast had fresh cooked fried eggs and pancakes. Plenty to choice from and a couple of toasters there. Manuel (takes you to your table) and the Aussie lady were very friendly and pleasant. The pool bar had burgers, sausages and salad. Admittedly they were a bit cold at times but no real complaints. Evening meal had fresh cooked fish amongst other treats. Drinks - Amstel on tap. Cocktails on tap. Sadly no alcohol free option but from what I heard drinks were decent. Pour your own at the pool bar as well. Entertainment - The animation team were always about pushing the various activities. We didn't attend the night stuff however we parked ourselves in the bar by reception. More of a chilled out atmosphere with Brits playing cards! I think the hotel are missing a trick here not having a bit more music OR making it an adults only area with a singer. All in all, a great hotel and worthy of it's 3 star rating. Staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Cleaning staff worked hard. Yeah the rooms are dated but nothing a lick of paint can't resolve. We also didn't see any cockroaches! Oh and the pool is refreshing to say the least :D!

Honest review! We are here currently for a long weekend break. ( 2 couples ) Was worried about the shocking reviews on some platforms but was a bargain for long weekend and thought it will beat January blues! So we took a risk! We have been pleasantly surprised There are some little bits we could have had a moan about … but really not anything to worry about given the absolute bargain prices the place offers! If you want something better pay more! But for £330 with flights and AI we were gonna take the risk! And it was worth it! Rooms - beautifully clean, the beds were amazing, the housekeeping staff are lovely, fridge and tea and coffee making in room bad bits - the air con is no existent, and there is a drain smell in the bathroom sometimes… we reported it… it did seem to improve.. Pool - lovely and clean -shame sunbeds are not unlocked till 10 am but did mean pool area was cleaned really well daily. Pool bar - lovely staff, fresh snacks and some hot stuff daily, bit of a limited choice but chips were nice! Drinks - limited choice on AI. But we didn’t dehydrate! Main restaurant - super clean Very white !!! Almost surgical! Lovely staff Lots of choice of food. No it’s not on the level of something like a Barcelo chain which we often go to, but it’s also not on the same price level!! Salads were always ok, hot menu choices were varied, the food sometimes was a bit Luke warm but microwave available in restaurant which I thought was good! We haven’t gone hungry! Entertainment - we didn’t get involved in it but the staff were always friendly and asking if we wanted to join in. Mini market in reception was nice to have, snacks and drinks were easily available and the normal fridge magnets and tut that no one needs but we all buy! Bar / AI drinks… they are very weak spirits, limited wine, but ok, and limited beer and other drink choices . But we didn’t dehydrate!! 😂🍾 The reception area was lovely, welcoming staff when we arrived and check in was quick and we requested rooms next door to each other and got lovely ones with huge terraces and interconnecting doors. Location is a bit remote, but 5 euros for taxi to square so that was fine! Coming home this evening… would we come again , yes I think we would. We will deffo try another one of the hotels in another Canary island for sure!

We stayed here for a short break to chase the sun. The staff were honestly the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Nothing was too much trouble and they made you feel like family. The food was mainly good (breakfast was really good) although the puddings weren’t great. The 2 bed apartment was spacious enough for 2 adults and 3 kids. Location was great. Short walk to a small beach and the square which has lots of shops and restaurants. The only downside was the pool was absolutely FREEZING and there are no English tv channels which isn’t great when you have kids. Overall I’d recommend for a family holiday

Just back from 11 days at the Bluebay. Had an excellent time. Food was excellent something for everyone. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel clean. Maids in every day. Room s could do with modernising, I think they are sorting that. The only thing I would say is that the beds were bit hard. We had a great time all in all.

I stayed at this hotel for a short getaway and had a very pleasant experience. The location was convenient, close to restaurants, shops, and public transport. Check-in was smooth and staff were welcoming, professional, and helpful throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a cozy bed and good amenities. Housekeeping did a great job each day. Breakfast offered a decent variety and tasted fresh. The hotel felt safe and quiet at night. Overall, it provided excellent value for money and I recommend it to both business and leisure travelers.

Spent a family week trip here and we would be definitely coming back! Great stuff, the minidisco made the holidays! Entertainment around the day makes the stay worth it here. Loved it here. The hotel it’s really nearby to the center, great location! Thank you for all!

If there wouldn’t be any entertainment in this hotel, honestly, I think that the holidays wouldn’t be that great! I must admit we had stomach problems for a few days with my friends — I understand the hotel is a 3*, unfortunately the food isn’t worth even a 2*… Sometimes the meat isn’t cook properly 🙈, there’s not a big choice of dishes, very repetitive and we found every day different names for the soups. EVERY DAY. The soups were different than they said on the papers. We stayed for a week and there was a salmon almost every day 🫠 So I think some innovation in the kitchen could be useful. However, the rest of our holidays were absolutely perfect!!! All the staff so friendly, we loved the evening entertainment shows — all the guys are so friendly and helpful. Great location in the city — everything’s so close.

2nd visit and still got the same good vibes, lovely hotel and amenities. Hotel room lovely and clean, food (for a vegetarian) was good, entertainment was good too, the only thing different was the weather, slightly cooler than the year before

We chose this hotel for a couple's trip to Lanzarote. The property is nice and in a convenient position to move around the island, with a generally quiet atmosphere. The food, however, did not completely convince us and even the cleanliness could be improved. Overall it was an average experience, suitable for those who do not have too many pretences.
