Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort

We had a wonderful stay at the Diria in Feb 2026. We're a family of 4 with a 7 and 9 year old. The hotel is the perfect location for experiencing everything Tamarindo has to offer. We had a ocean view room and it was very nice. The rooms are very "regular" nothing much to them but clean and well kept. The ocean view as some have mentioned is noisy if you are on the 2nd floor. We expected it and it didn't really impact us, but if you are looking for quiet, we'd recommend the rooms on other side of street near the swim up bar pool. We time there and it was very peaceful. You get the best of both world at this hotel. You can enjoy the vibrant downtown of Tamarindo, the ocean front views from your lounge chair or a beautiful peaceful pool. The kids loved renting boogie boards and enjoying the surf. We walked the beach each night and took in the sunset. We also walked to the Night Marketing on Thursday nights which was a great way to see the town at night. We rented at car, stopped at Walmart beforehand to stock up on sunblock and parking was free at Diria. Overall highly recommend the hotel.

Beautiful resort in the perfect location on Tamarindo. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Beds were super comfortable. My daughter has many food allergies and restaurants were great for her and delicious. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Used the airport transportation from hotel and it was very convent and efficient . We will definitely be back .

Beautiful property, Very clean, nicely placed on the beach right downtown. Food was OK, drinks were weak, service was abysmal. When we did get the attention of servers it took 10-15 minutes to fill our drink orders. Food was much longer. We went to the desk to change money and were simply told no. When we asked where we could change money we were simply told, the bank. I didn't meet a single server that I did not seem to irritate with my requests. It might be me but I certainly don't get this anywhere else.

Great Location, terrible service. The good: perfect location The bad: front desk -bad asked for change to tip staff. Their answer “no”. I asked where to get change “at a bank” Bar and restaurant service was equally as bad. Multiple requests were ignored. Super loud at night. Hear every single motorcycle coming down the street

Great location! Lots of good restaurants. Ocean was warm and beach was nice. Great for long walks.
