Evening meal was good wih promt service. Breakfast was very good....cooked fresh to order rather than a buffet style.

Hotel is old and outdated with various signs of wear. Holes in carpets, damaged furniture, rotten windows etc.

Staff friendly & helpful. Views of Ben Nevis magnificent when it appears from the clouds. Huge room with sofa & large bed. New bathroom, clean with good shower & hot water. (Other reviewers said cold!) Chef good with dietary needs. Has swimming pool and plenty of car parking.

Wasn’t sure what to expect after reading reviews before booking. Yes, the hotel is "of its time" in parts and decor needs updating. It clearly has potential and work is being done to modernise. Maybe not quite value for money but staff helpfulness & mountain views countered this a bit.
