"In the middle of hell!!"

2.0

This hotel is located in the most disgusting area of Frankfurt. From the place where I parked my car to the door I had to pass through 10 hookers and 15 crackheads that were working the aluminum foil in front of my windshield. Absolutely disgusting. Reception does not speak English. When I was showed the room there was some kind of deal going on next room. Creepy!! Good luck!

"HELP!"

2.0

Arrived at 10pm to find hookers sitting on the doorstep. I think their pimp was across the road in a fetching White suit and a stetson. The smell of urine was over bearing. I think they normally rent the rooms by the hour. There were drunks and druggies out in the street. My room or cell as I fondly called it Was about 1.5 meters wide. I haven't slept in a single bed since I was 5. My colleague had a double bed but only a single duvet. The smell in the lift I can't describe. I am just glad their were 2 of us as had I been alone I would have left Germany. It was really scary and horrible and to top it off i had to pay 177 euros a night because of IMEX. This is no way a 3 star. Ladies don't stay there on your own.

"Good Hotel"

10.0

Hotel Elbe is easy to find and is a short walk from the train station. The hotel was clean and had comfortable beds. Breakfast and internet were not included although many similarly priced hotels in this area offered these for free. Overall, a good hotel and I would stay here again.

"Coming in/out during the day is a good idea"

8.0

I'd missed my flight back to the states, and rebooked for the next day. Had already turned in the rental car, and just needed a place to crash by the train station. Found this, put the big bags in storage at the airport (5E each). Other reviews about the surrounding area are accurate - it is right on the edge of the red light district, and some very shady characters (and the unmistakeable smell of urine from nearby alleys) abound. But once you are inside, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The room (and en suite bathroom) is cheap, but clean and workable if all you need is crash space. Breakfast is included with the meal, and a good German one (cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, etc.). It's maybe a 10 minute walk to the train station, another 10 wait tops, and another 10 or so to the airport for 4E. I'll probably stay here again when departing from FRA.

"Value for money"

10.0

I was expecting the worst from some of the reviews of the Elbe Hotel & surroundings. Yes, it is in the "redlight" district but hey most big cities have them, I did see prostitutes hanging around also a discarded needle in the gutter; but from turning into Elbestrasse & reaching the hotel took around 2 mins. The room was clean & comfortable & the buffet breakfast was excellent! Other guests were clean & respectable; staff were friendly & it takes only around 6 mins. walk to the Hauptbahnhof; definitely stay here again & would recommend.

"convenient to the train station"

6.0

other than convenience to the main train station there is not much else to say about this hotel. It is located in a dicey part of town, but it is quiet.

"Nice hotel but in the middle of red-light district"

8.0

My room was much bigger and nicer than most rooms in Frankfurt in this price range near the train station. The only problem is that this hotel is on a street that is very much in the heart of Frankfurt's red-light district. There is nothing particularly dangerous about the area -- it's more colorful than dangerous -- but it can be noisy and this isn't a place for families. Noise doesn't bother me, but others might want to request a room away from the main street. But the room was bigger, nicer, and more modern than others I have had near the Frankfurt train station.

"Awful Hotel"

2.0

Staff:no smile, unfriendly and unpolite. I won't back again. location: near bar and street, really noisy.people shouting, car sounds, music all you will heart. One thing I feel really angry is We go out for breakfast, we back hotel at 1045. we ask the staff to get the room key. The Staff said we already check out, we can't get in our room. They don't have our agreement, then check out in private, although we only left 15 mins. I don't know I just wanna tell everyone my situation. I never write bad review for the Hotel, But this time I have to do this.

"Cozy Hotel"

10.0

Front desk staff, one during the day, one during the night, pleasant and helpful. Room small but quiet; located towards rear of hotel. Bed comfortable, hot water in shower. Breakfast was all-you can eat buffet, juice, milk, fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, eggs, coffee, tea, salads, rolls, toast. Cafeteria staff, one, pleasant. Ten minutes walk from railway station; twenty minutes walk from downtown or river Main. Good location; not bothered by nearby seedy hotels.
