"This hotel is a joke"

4.0

Right out side the train station. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. A lot of junkies right out side. Safe area though. Right in the middle of red light district. No air condition , no WiFi.

"Can consider for my next stay"

6.0

We stayed 3 days at this hotel between 12 and 15 September 2012. Location is central, although nearby to 'red lights' district it is rather calm and safe (if you do not need 'their' services - just don't use it) Our room was not so big in size, but clean, no smell of smoke, shower was working and clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast was served by nice lady, speaking German and some English. What irritated the most is the night porter at reception. Cannot speak English, always in head-phones or with loud music playing all the way, you have to wait 5-10 minutes to attract his attention. Very unpleasant person. Overall - will consider staying next time.

"The red-light hotel from hell! Never ever stay here!!!!!"

2.0

This is a horrible dirty hotel in a very dangerous area at night due to the junkies who are injecting in the doorway of the hotel. They are in the street 24/7 and shout and scream all night long and the police have trouble controlling this and it is a major problem in this area. Reception staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful and demand the money up front before you check in which pretty much sums this place up. We booked for three nights and simply left after the second night as it was so unbearable. I am a 32 yer old man who stayed in this hotel with 2 other male colleagues and we were quite uneasy with the set up at this hotel and the people coming and going in the corridors at night. It is very unsafe especially for women, young kids, elderly etc. It is close to the main train station but don't book this hotel for that reason as there are better hotels around for the money as this place is such a cesspit. Avoid this area at all costs and read the other reviews for this hotel as proof. I only wish I'd done this myself before staying here.

"Poor location and cheap"

2.0

I stayed here overnight for work and was shocked by the supposed 3* grading this hotel had. The road it was on was appalling, located opposite a building site and a run down casino, meaning the noise was unbearable all night long. I didn't sleep at all due to screaming, shouting etc. Red light district seems to be the kind of place this was in. It was actually frightening. The room itself was adequate and clean but I actually felt unsafe sleeping there. Not helped by the receptionist shouting after me to ask what my room number was to check I was a resident supposedly. Do not stay here.

"Very Poor Location"

2.0

Stayed there on 28th January 2012, the area just off the main street and 400 meters from Main railway station is very bad. It is bang in the middle of the red light area and is full of drug users and low lifes, pimps, prostiutes and generally a place not to be frequenetd by normal people. Hotel is just a doss house, type place, did not try any services, just slept for a few hours and left quickly. Can not recommend at any level.

"A cheap and decent place to stay in downtown Frankfurt"

8.0

I'm surprised actually by the really negative recent comments. I have stayed here at least four times. This most recent time I paid roughly 40 Euros a night to stay in downtown Frankfurt. Unsurprisingly that only buys a certain level of comfort in a major banking center. The hotel is centrally located, close to the tran station, university, museums, etc. And yes, it is in (or rather, on the edge of) the Red Light District. So you will see prostitutes and sex shops. Anyone who had bothered to read anything about Frankfurt should know that, so it's hard to have sympathy for those who were surprised. (The man across the street in the hat is actually not a pimp, but the owner of a strip club, in reponse to another comment.) The staff are uniformly nice (and generally speak English, German and French, plus probably Arabic and other languages, as they are immigrants to Germany). The internet (about 1 euro an hour or so) works fine. The beds can be soft, yes. My shower has always worked. And anyway they fix stuff if you ask. I have never had anything stolen and have even left bags there with valuables in them when I went away for a few days. I have never seen prostitutes in the hotel and I doubt very much they rent by the hour. Basically, it's a good place to stay if you are an adult and can take of yourself.

"Never again!!!"

2.0

Do yourself a favour and don't even think of going in this hotel. It was the most unpleasant experience i ever had. This is the most trashiest area in frankfurt and the hotel was pathetic. You have hookers and drug addicted people everywhere. The recepcionist could not speak english and was rude. Just drive around \frankfurt and I can asure you will find something better.
