Church Street Inn Historic Charleston, Ascend Collection Hotel

Great location in the heart of downtown Charleston SC right next to the market, restaurants, carriage rides and much more . This adorable historic hotel has such a home like feeling with great spaceous rooms a boconey views the market street and many other stores . The rooms are very clean well taken care of. Staff is so nice and welcoming drinks and snacks are in the lobby for convenience complementary coffee is offered also you don't have to worry about parking the hotel has a garage with security and carmaras so it very safe . We have really enjoyed our stay for far . And will definitely rebook our stay here when we return in April

I like the location in the French Quarter across the street from City Market.

The general maintenance and upkeep of the hotel could be improved. The elevator should be dusted down. The curtains, baseboards and banisters, and such should be dusted done. Cracks in the walls and water stains should be repaired. It is a beautiful building but routine maintenance is lacking.

Location was right in the heart of downtown Charleston near the Market Place - convenient to so many restaurants and shopping!

The room could have been a bit cleaner - particularly the woodwork had not been properly wiped down .
