"Mount Stuart should advertise itself as a hostel - not a hotel"

on a quiet road and near a bus stop. Fresh fruit for breakfast

Damp/musty smells. Lots of steps/stairs. Grubby/sticky surfaces - my paper napkin stuck to the table. Room filled by a creaking double bed and set of bunks - no full length hanging space and no kettle etc. (as advertised).No daily room tidy up. Parking costs - £5 car, £10 van. AND a £30 "corkage" for every bottle (even champagne!) brought in. If you give 7 days notice, you can book the hot tub 9in a shed outside) for £180 for 3 hours. It needs a total deep clean/refurbish.

"Middling seaside hotel. Not bad but not good."

Convenient for the Conference Centre and sea front. Fairly quiet. Typical faded seaside hotel. Staff good. Let me park for extra time offsetting charge to park.

Needs a decorative refresh. Breakfast is 9:00 to 10:00. Much too late. Why not 8:00 on? Charged £10 to park a motorcycle for 2 nights even though I didn’t need a car space; so I took one.

The staff on check in didnt give you any details, etc breakfast times or anything. Also when booking it stated coffee/tea making facilities in room but there wasn't

Location of the Property was good.

Room 11 - originally given to us - door never locked and the door handle came off. Moved to Room 18. Bedding - stains on everything Carpets & Upholstery - tired, stained and damaged Breakfast was included - Continental - Smallest Glasses for Orange & Apple Juice you will ever see Bar - shuts at 8 - Selling out of Date Beer! Place is ideal for Stags who genuinely don't care about the state of sleeping quarters. Could be a decent hotel with more attention to it.
