Marilena Hotel

We arrived at the hotel, to be told some rooms weren’t available. We were then placed into a taxi and took to a horrendous hotel down the road for the night. There was no real explanation, just placed into a taxi. On arrival at Hotel Marerena which was a five minute drive away, we arrived to disgust, a green pool, cold and gone off good with the cheek to then ask us to pay for drinks. I rung the hotel to complain that this was not the same standard as the Marliena, they just apologised and said to speak to the manager the next day. After 30 minutes at this alternative hotel we had to walk out, and find another hotel 15 minutes away that could take us on for the night this cost us an additional £170. It then took 3 hours for Expedia to grant us a refund the next morning as we did not want to go back to a hotel that thought it acceptable to place is in that standard of hotel with a 6 year old child. The best thing the hotel did for us was finally provide us a refund, even though we still ended up £170 out of pocket. Avoid this hotel.

Woher kommen diese 4 Sterne? Das Hotel verdient 2 bis 2,5 Sterne! Solch ein All inklusive habe ich noch nie erlebt. Jeden Tag gibt's fast identische Speisen, die meisten davon schmecken furchtbar. ALLE Getränke sind ungenießbar!!! Das Mineralwasser stinkt nach Gülle, der Kaffee hat den Namen nicht mal verdient. Alles andere besteht entweder aus billigstem Konzentrat bzw. wiederlichem (verdünntem) Alkohol. Nie wieder, selbst wenn es kostenlos wäre! Trotzt All inklusive kaufen fast alle Hotelgäste ihre Getränke in den Supermärkten und schleppen es Tütenweise ins Hotel. Pool war ok, das Personal größtenteils nett. Die Crepes waren ganz ok.

Staff was nice.

Food was catastrophic. Just one Air condition in one room of the family double room. Noisy air condition No good sound isolation Covers are useless ...

Perfect location, wonderful staff, tasty meals, clean rooms. Would recommend a thousand times.

Very well managed. The staff is exceptional. Special thanks to Irini. She made our stay feel like home. The buffet was very good. Many types of delicious food to choose from.

The food was very good but More types of fruit would be nice

The shower was so small it was hard to stand in. The shower curtain would stick to you the whole time you were trying to shower. The bed was hard as a rock. The pictures look much different than the actual resort. The food and lobby were great, but the rooms were pretty bad.

Beds, shower, rooms overall were pretty poor.

Canr fault the hotel. It was extremely clean. Pool area was nice. Food was really nice too and my husband enjoyed the food (and he's picky) I would 100% stay here again. We went out of season. So the car hire was vital. We used the hotel as more of a base. So we could explore the beautiful iSland

Maybe a bit of music around the pool? But other than that nothing bad to say at all. Workers work very hard. And the cleanliness is 10 out of 10.
