Deer Haven Inn

The room was clean and nice. The fridge, microwave and table with 2 chairs were nice to have. The bed was comfortable. The fireplace was a nice amenity. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty.

There was plenty of hot water in the shower, but for some reason the sink didn't really get hot water, just lukewarm. The wall heater was very loud when it switched on (but you could just use the fireplace, which also gave off heat.) The walls were fairly thin, so you could hear other peoples doors, talking, etc, but luckily it wasn't too bad.

Noises kept me awake from refrigerator and heating elements! The bedside tables were covered with sticky substance’s like soda pop and so was tv remote!

THE LOCATION WAS PERFECT. IT IS A WALKABLE LOCATION TO ASILOMAR AND THE BEACH.

THE BED WAS TOO HIGH FOR ONE OF THE SHORT AND ELDERLY GUESTS.

The mattress was especially comfortable

The wifi password should be noted in printed information in room. We realized we didn't have that information right after the office closed, and we had to wait until morning to find out the password. (Guests need to call the office to obtain the password, and I've never seen this policy anywhere else we've stayed.)

It is a clean, comfortable room in a quiet property. Nothing fancy.

The decor is a bit dated.

Pillows on top of bed did not smell clean. I would hope they are washed after each visit.
