GrandStay Hotel & Suites Becker Big Lake

We had a family above us, that had a child jumping around most of the night and then again in the Morning. I would recommend putting anyone with young children on the first floor. I am handicap, challenge walking currently, so prefer close to front of hotel; next time we will see about top (3rd) floor near elevator.

Staff were amazing very friendly very cordial. Very helpful. I would definitely come back here clean quiet local really a pleasure to stay at.

Room is older but well maintained and clean. There is a shortage of outlets for charging items. Check-in is quick and easy. Highway and train track noise may perturb some people.

Property was close to our activities for the weekend. Other than the front desk staff the place was at or above expectations. I am sure it is hard to hire weekend help that will be glad to see customers.

The ac drain was plugged so the room smelled like wet dog, no tv, and the bathroom door barely closed

An older property, well maintained. Very clean. Friendly staff. This is in a smaller town. Close Kwik Trip and another gas station. Excellent breakfast. Bed was good, a little softer than I like, but ok.

Staff was super friendly breakfast was good. Had a jetted tub room reserved but found out pets were not allowed in this type of room. Had to convince them not to charge me for jetted tub price. The room we were switched to had a damp or smoky smell. Train traffic noise throughout the night.

We stayed for a weekend funeral. The room was dingy and carpet as well as all upholstery in the room was stained. The room had a very strong chemical odor that didn't dissipate with time. The bed had a major dip in the middle; however, was relatively comfortable otherwise. When we first used the bathroom sink, it didn't even drain. The front desk staff was pleasant. This hotel had migrant workers staying there for a month. They made us aware via a memo in the room. Having them around and constantly in the hallways, parking lot and lobby caused more noise, and even though the hotel posted 'quiet hours', neighbors were playing loud music in the middle of the night. Breakfast was ok, but the area was sticky, refrigerator door sticky and dirty, and no tongs were available to get the bread products so people were using their hands. Overall, an unsatisfactory experience, due to the level of needed maintenance and cleaning.

Staff was excellent to work with but the room had a very musty smell and the tv didn’t work. Staff attempted to work with the local cable company to get the signal fixed but was unable to do so until presumably after my stay.

Hotel was run down, old. Lots of odd smells and stains on carpet in the hotel room. Staff were pleasant but the hotel seemed sketchy.
